2014 Sidecarcross World Championship
The 2014 FIM Sidecarcross World Championship, the 35th edition of the competition, started on 13 April and finished after ten Grand Prix weekends on 21 September 2014. The defending champions were Ben Adriaenssen from Belgium and his Dutch passenger Ben van den Bogaart, who won their first title in 2013. The pair defended their title while the Dutch-Latvian combination of Etienne Bax and Kaspars Stupelis finished runners-up for the third consecutive time. Third place went to the British duo of Stuart Brown and Josh Chamberlain, their highest-ever finish. The Sidecarcross World Championship, first held in 1980 and organised by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, is an annual competition. All races, manufacturers and the vast majority of riders in the competition being in and from Europe. Ben Adriaenssen (born 27 January 1989) accessed: 14 October 2013 is a Belgian sidecarcross rider and the 2013 Sidecarcross World Championship, 2013 and 2014 Sidecarcross World Championship, 2014 Sidecarcross World Championship, World Champion, together with his Dutch passenger, Ben van den Bogaart. Vesoul
Vesoul () is a commune in the Haute-Saône department in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté located in eastern France. It is the most populated municipality of the department with inhabitants in 2014. Roggenburg, Basel-Country
Roggenburg is a municipality in the district of Laufen in the canton of Basel-Country in Switzerland. History Both Roman coins and the remains of a Roman watchtower have been discovered within the municipality. Roggenburg is first mentioned in 1162 as ''Rogenberc''. Kiviõli (russian: Кивиыли) is an industrial town in Ida-Viru County, Estonia. The settlement was founded in 1922 and became a town in 1946. The main industry is oil shale mining, which gives the town its name (literally "stone oil"). In 2000, 51% of inhabitants were ethnic Russians and 39% were Estonians. Plomion
Plomion () is a Communes of France, commune in the Aisne Departments of France, department in Hauts-de-France in northern France. History Plomion was the site of a massacre by retreating German forces on the evening of August 31, 1944 as the American army approached pushing toward the Belgian border. Sixty German Waffen SS members who had been quartered in the village for six days, murdered fourteen men rounded-up at random and shot them with machine guns after lining them up in a meadow prior to retreating. Five men from a single family were dragged from their home during supper. The ages of the victims ranged from 70 to 17. After murdering the men, they set part of the town on fire.
