2014 Sheikh Jassim Cup
The 2014 Sheikh Jassim Cup will be the 36th edition of the cup competition for football teams from Qatar. It has now changed from a group staged pre-season tournament featuring all Qatari Stars League sides, to a one-off match between the previous seasons Qatar Stars League winners and Emir of Qatar Cup winners. Newly built Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium – the home base of Lekhwiya – will host the Sheikh Jassim Cup final between Al Sadd and Lekhwiya. Al Sadd Sports Club ( ar, نادي السد الرياضي, lit=Dam Sports Club) is a Qatari sports club based in the Al Sadd district of the city of Doha. It is best known for its association football team, which competes in the top level of Qatari football, the Qatar Stars League. Locally, it is known primarily by the nickname ''"Al Zaeem"'', which translates to "The Boss". It is known as the best team in Qatar and is the only Qatari team that has won the AFC Champions League in Asia. Youssef Msakni ( ar, يوسف المساكني; born 28 October 1990) is a Tunisian professional footballer who plays as a winger or forward for Qatar Stars League club Al Arabi, on loan from Al-Duhail, and the Tunisia national team. Hussein Ammouta ( ar, الحسين عموتة, ; also spelled Lhoussaine Ammouta – born 24 October 1969 in Khemisset) is a Moroccan professional football manager and former player, who is the current head coach of Botola side Wydad AC. Michael Laudrup
Michael Laudrup (, born 15 June 1964) is a Danish professional football coach and former player. He is considered to be one of the greatest players of all time. He is the older brother of fellow retired footballer Brian Laudrup. During his playing career, Laudrup won league titles with Ajax, Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus, playing mainly as an attacking midfielder, although he was also capable of playing in other attacking positions. Luiz Guilherme da Conceição Silva (born 16 June 1986), commonly known as Muriqui, is a Brazilian professional footballer who currently plays for Campeonato Brasileiro Série A club Avaí. Rodrigo Barbosa Tabata (born 19 November 1980) or simply Rodrigo Tabata, is a professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder for Qatari club Al Sadd. Al-Duhail Sports Club ( ar, نادي الدحيل الرياضي), formerly Lekhwiya SC, is a Qatari sports club, best known for its football team, which plays in the Qatar Stars League.
