2014 Premiership Rugby Sevens Series
The 2014 Premiership Rugby Sevens Series was the fifth Rugby Union 7-a-side competition for the twelve 2014–15 Aviva Premiership Clubs, and the first to include the four Welsh Regions that compete in the Pro12. The pool stage of the tournament will start on 26 July 2014, before continuing on 31 July - 2 August 2014. The final took place on 8 August 2014. Inclusion of Wales On 20 May 2014, it was announced that this season, the 4 Welsh regions - Cardiff Blues, Newport Gwent Dragons, Ospreys and Scarlets - would join the series. They would play in their own pool, hosted at the BT Sport Cardiff Arms Park, and the top two regions would progress to contest the Series Final. The group stages were run on 1–3 August 2013 and the final at the Recreation Ground (Bath), Recreation Ground on 9 August 2013. Format The twelve Premiership Clubs were split into 3 Groups – A, B and C based upon geographical location – with each group playing on consecutive days at the beginning of August. Each team in the group played each other once, to the International Rugby Board Laws of the Game - 7s Variations. 2014 World Club 7s
The 2014 World Club 7s was the second World Club 7s tournament, a rugby sevens competition organised by Premiership Rugby. It was hosted at Twickenham Stadium on 16 and 17 August 2014. The tournament was won by Buenos Aires. Format 11 teams have been invited, and one has qualified for the competition through the 2014 Premiership Rugby Sevens Series contested by English and Welsh clubs. The 12 teams are split into 3 pools of 4 teams, and each team will play all the others in their pool once on day one. Twickenham Stoop
Twickenham Stoop Stadium (informally referred to as The Stoop) is a sports stadium located in south-west London, England. The Darlington Arena
The Darlington Arena is a rugby union stadium, located in Darlington, County Durham. The arena was opened in the summer of 2003, as the new home ground of Darlington F.C., following the decision to leave their previous ground, Feethams, after the 2002–03 season. With a seating capacity of 25,000, the arena rarely attracted large crowds, with the usual attendance being around 2,000. The cost of the arena caused the club to go into administration three times. Eventually, the club decided to leave the arena after nine years following the 2011–12 season. Kingston Park is a suburb of Newcastle upon Tyne, about north west of the city centre.
