2014 Maryland Terrapins Baseball Team
The 2014 Maryland Terrapins baseball team represented the University of Maryland, College Park during the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Terrapins played their home games at Shipley Field, in their final season as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. Maryland finished the regular season with a 34–19 record, including a 15–14 record in ACC play, finishing in a tie for second place in the ACC Atlantic Division standings, behind Florida State and tied with Clemson. Maryland earned a bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I baseball tournament, where they were placed in the Charlottesville Super Regional, with South Carolina, Old Dominion, and Campbell in the Columbia Regional. Maryland defeated Old Dominion and South Carolina (twice) to advance to the Super Regional, where there lost two out of three games to eventual national runner-up Virginia. John Szefc
John Szefc is an American college baseball coach, currently serving as the head coach of the Virginia Tech baseball team. He has held that position since leaving the University of Maryland in June, 2017, where he had coached since the 2013 season. Playing career Szefc played for two seasons for Connecticut before transferring to Drexel. He was an all-conference selection in 1989, his senior year. He graduated from Drexel in 1989. Coaching career After completing his degree at Drexel, Szefc became an assistant coach at his alma mater. He remained for five seasons before moving to Sacred Heart for one season. In August 1995, he was hired as head coach at Marist. He remained at Marist for seven seasons. In just his second season, the Red Foxes earned their first Northeast Conference championship, and Szefc was named NEC Coach of the Year. Glen Burnie is an unincorporated town and census-designated place (CDP) in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, United States. It is a suburb of Baltimore. The population of Glen Burnie was 67,639 at the 2010 census. History In 1812, Elias Glenn, a district attorney, established a county seat near what is currently known as Brooklyn Park. Council Rock High School North
Council Rock High School North is a high school located in Newtown, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. It is a part of the Council Rock School District. The school is located across from Newtown Middle School and Tyler State Park, and near Bucks County Community College. The current student population is 1,588 for grades 9–12. The school is three stories tall and is divided into an East wing and a West wing. Until 2006, there was no direct connection between the third floors on each wing, so students and staff had to use hallways on the first or second floor to cross between wings. The High School for Enterprise, Business, and Technology is a public high school located on the fourth floor of the Grand Street Educational Campus at 850 Grand Street and Bushwick Avenue in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Severna Park High School is a public high school in the United States located in the suburban CDP of Severna Park, Maryland. It is a part of the Anne Arundel County Public Schools system. Gilman School is an all-boys independent school located in the Roland Park neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. There are three school divisions: Lower School, grades pre-kindergarten through five; Middle School, grades six through eight; and Upper School, grades nine through twelve.
