Thomas Robinson Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Nassau, Bahamas. The largest stadium in the country, it is currently used mostly for soccer matches. The stadium currently has a capacity of 15,000 people, but has the ability to be expanded to hold 23,000 people. The stadium is also the home of the NCAA Division I College Football (American football) bowl game the Bahamas Bowl. The stadium is named after Thomas A. Kimberlyn Duncan (born August 2, 1991) is an American track and field athlete, specializing in the sprint (running), sprints. She was the 2013 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships, American champion at 200 metres, having defeated Olympic champion Allyson Felix with a strong stretch run. Her time of 21.80 seconds from that race at the 2013 USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships would have ranked her as the 14th fastest female of all time, had it not been wind assistance, wind aided. Bianca Knight
Bianca Knight (born January 2, 1989) is an American former track and field athlete who competed in the 100 and 200 meters. At the 2012 Summer Olympics she won a team event gold medal in the 4x100 metres relay team. In the final, the quartet of Tianna Madison, Allyson Felix, she and Carmelita Jeter broke a 27-year-old world record. Career Knight attended Ridgeland High School in Ridgeland, Mississippi and won the female Gatorade Athlete of the Year in track and field in 2006. She is the first Mississippi native to win a Gatorade Athlete of the Year award. As a University of Texas freshman, Knight won the 2008 indoor NCAA 200 m championship in a collegiate-record time of 22.40. Shalonda Solomon
Shalonda Solomon (born December 19, 1985) is an American track and field sprinter. Her greatest international accomplishment is a silver medal in the 100 m at the 2010 IAAF Continental Cup, while representing the Americas team. She qualified for the 2011 World Championships in Athletics by winning the 200 m at the USA Outdoor Track and Field Championships. Her 22.15 in winning that race was the world-leading time for 2011. While running in the World Championships, she ran far slower than at the National Championships, finishing a fourth-place in the 200 m behind Jamaican Veronica Campbell-Brown, and American teammates Carmelita Jeter and defending champion Allyson Felix. Marita Koch
Marita Koch (later Meier-Koch; born 18 February 1957) is a German former sprint track and field athlete. During her career she collected 16 world records in outdoor sprints as well as 14 world records in indoor events. Her record of 47.60 in the 400 metres, set on 6 October 1985, still stands. Biography Born in Wismar, East Germany, Marita Koch displayed exceptional speed even as a young child and was defeating boys much older than herself in sprint races whilst at school. By the time she had turned 15 years old, she was training under Wolfgang Meier. Meier worked as a naval engineer, but also coached athletics part-time. Koch and Meier moved to Rostock where Koch began to study medicine. However, she decided to stop her studies and focus on running instead. Koch was coached by Meier for her entire career, and they later married. She retained her maiden name, and is now known as Marita Koch-Meier. She and her husband have a daughter named Ulrike.
