2014 Ginetta GT Supercup Season
The 2014 Michelin Ginetta GT4 Supercup was a multi-event, one make GT motor racing championship held across England and Scotland. The championship featured a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded drivers, competing in a Ginetta G55 or Ginetta G50 that conformed to the technical regulations for the championship. It formed part of the extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centrepiece. It was the fourth Ginetta GT4 Supercup, having rebranded from the Ginetta G50 Cup, which ran between 2008 and 2010. 2014 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship was a multi-event motor racing championship for production-based touring cars held across England and Scotland. The championship features a mix of professional motor racing teams and privately funded amateur drivers competing in highly modified versions of Family cars which are sold to the general public and conform to the technical regulations for the championship. It is one of the most popular domestic motor racing series in the United Kingdom, with an extensive program of support categories built up around the BTCC centrepiece. It was the 57th British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. Andrew Watson (racing Driver)
Andrew Robert Watson (born 21 January 1995) is a British racing driver from Northern Ireland currently competing in the British Touring Car Championship with CarStore Power Maxed Racing. Throughout his career Watson has competed in sports car racing and endurance racing, until his switch to touring car racing in 2023. He is a former Aston Martin Racing junior. Luke Davenport (racing Driver)
Luke Davenport (born 29 May 1993 in Cambridge) is a British racing driver, currently competing in the British Touring Car Championship for Motorbase Performance. Racing career Early career Davenport began his car racing career in 2011, competing in the Ginetta Challenge. Starting in the G20 class, he moved up to the G40 class in 2012 where he remained for the next two seasons culminating in him finishing 4th in the championship in 2013 with one win. In 2014 Davenport moved to the Ginetta GT4 Supercup on the TOCA BTCC support package. He competed for United Autosports with veteran Carl Breeze as his teammate. History 20th century Ginetta was founded in 1958 by four Walklett brothers (Bob, Ivor, Trevers and Douglas) in Woodbridge, Suffolk. Their first product, the Fairlight, was a glass-fibre body shell priced at £49 for fitting to a Ford chassis. Donington Park is a motorsport circuit located near Castle Donington in Leicestershire, England. The circuit business is now owned by Jonathan Palmer's MotorSport Vision organisation, and the surrounding Donington Park Estate, still owned by the Wheatcroft family, is currently under lease by MotorSport Vision until 2038. It has a capacity of 120,000, and is also the venue of the Download Festival. Originally part of the Donington Hall estate, it was created as a racing circuit during the period between the First and Second World Wars when the German Silver Arrows were battling for the European Championship. Knockhill Racing Circuit
Knockhill Racing Circuit is a motor racing circuit in Fife, Scotland. It opened in September 1974 and is Scotland's national motorsport centre. The circuit is located in the countryside about north of Dunfermline. It is the only FIA approved circuit in Scotland. History The circuit opened in September 1974. Croft Circuit is a motor racing circuit located near Dalton-on-Tees in North Yorkshire, England. The tarmac circuit is long and is based on the lands of an airfield, but has long since moved on from being a basic airfield circuit. The circuit holds meetings of the British Touring Car Championship, British Rallycross and Pickup Truck Racing race series. Silverstone Circuit is a motor racing circuit in England, near the Northamptonshire villages of Towcester, Silverstone and Whittlebury. It is the home of the British Grand Prix, which it first hosted as the 1948 British Grand Prix.
