2014 FAI President's Cup
The 2014 President's Cup was the inaugural President's Cup. The match was played between 2013 League of Ireland Premier Division champions, St Patrick's Athletic, and 2013 FAI Cup Final winners Sligo Rovers at Richmond Park on 2 March 2014. The match finished 1–0 to St Patrick's Athletic, with Keith Fahey scoring with a right-footed volley top the top right corner from 25 yards after 18 minutes. President Of Ireland's Cup
The President of Ireland's Cup, also known simply as the President's Cup, is an association football super cup featuring clubs from the Republic of Ireland football league system. It is a one-off match between the winners of the previous season's League of Ireland Premier Division and the FAI Cup, and similarly to the FA Community Shield in England, functions both as a domestic Super cup and a unofficial opener to the football season in Ireland. Because it is organised by the Football Association of Ireland, it is sometimes misleadingly referred to as the FAI President's Cup. However the president in the title refers to the President of Ireland and not the president of the FAI. The FAI has previously organised similar competitions, the Top Four Cup and the FAI Super Cup. Christopher Forrester
Christopher Stephen Forrester (born 17 December 1992) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for St Patrick's Athletic in the League of Ireland Premier Division. He has also previously played for Bohemians, Peterborough United, Aberdeen and the Republic of Ireland under-21's. In March 2016 he was called up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad but has yet to be capped. David Cawley
David Cawley (born 17 September 1991) is an Irish professional footballer who plays for League of Ireland Premier Division club Sligo Rovers. Career David began his career with Ballina Town in his hometown before making the move to Ipswich Town in September 2007. He spent four seasons an Ipswich Town player before being released in June 2011. Cawley signed for Sligo Rovers on 22 February 2012. Evan McMillan
Evan McMillan (born 20 November 1986) is an Irish football coach and former player. He is the older brother of Dundalk player David. Career UCD McMillan was part of the Irish Colleges team that travelled to Thailand in the summer of 2007, where he finished top scorer for his country with two goals. Later that year, McMillan captained the UCD U-21 side to their third Dr Tony O'Neill league triumph in four years, with a penalty shoot out victory over St Patrick's Athletic. He went on to make thirteen league appearances. On 21 April 2008, UCD played against St Patrick's Athletic in the first round of the League Cup. Alan Keane (soccer Player)
Alan Keane (born 23 September 1984) is a retired Irish footballer. Keane is a versatile player who can play anywhere across the back four, though his preferred position is right back. He has also been known to play on the wing. Career Galway United Keane made his début for Galway United towards the end of the 2005 season and was mostly was used as a right back in his time with the club. Sligo Rovers In February 2009, Keane joined Sligo Rovers after four seasons at Galway United. Richard Brush
Richard Brush (born 26 November 1984) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Irish side Sligo Rovers in the League of Ireland Premier Division. Club career Early career (2003–2006) Brush started his career with Coventry City where after one year as an apprentice, he signed a three-year professional contract. Whilst at the club went out on loan to Tamworth in November 2003 with his loan spell being extended into a second, and then a third month. His time at Coventry included a wrist injury, which led to him missing an entire season. Liam Buckley
Liam Buckley (born 14 April 1960), is an Irish former professional footballer. He made two appearances for the Republic of Ireland national football team. He was most recently the manager of League of Ireland Premier Division club Sligo Rovers FC. Playing career Buckley began his League of Ireland career with Shelbourne and signed for Shamrock Rovers as a full-time player in the 1979 close season. He scored his first goal for the Hoops against his former club at Milltown on 21 October 1979 and he went on to score another seven league goals that season. Conor McCormack (born 18 May 1990) is a professional footballer currently playing in the League of Ireland First Division with Galway United. Club career He started his career with Manchester United, joining on a youth contract when he was 16 years old. After spending two years at the club and becoming disillusioned with the lack of first-team opportunities, McCormack turned down the offer of an extension to his contract. He moved to Italy and joined Serie B side U.S. Triestina Calcio. McCormack did not make a first-team start during his two and a half years there. Mark Quigley (born 27 October 1985) is an Irish former professional footballer who played for Millwall, Shamrock Rovers (over 2 spells), St Patrick's Athletic (over 2 spells), Bohemians (over 2 spells), Dundalk, Sligo Rovers and Derry City. Lee Lynch (footballer)
Lee Lynch (born 27 November 1991) is an Irish footballer who plays for NIFL Premiership side Coleraine. Career Early career Lee Lynch began his playing career with former Limerick club Roxboro United, followed by Summerville and finally Regional United where he played until the age of 16. He won two All-Ireland senior soccer titles with Limerick CBS. From there he moved to England to sign for West Bromwich Albion. He played an important role with the youth team there and progressed to play for their reserves where he made 20 appearances. After two years he left in 2010. James Chambers, born 14 February 1987 in Dublin, is an Irish former professional footballer who played for Shelbourne, Waterford United, Drogheda United, Shamrock Rovers (2 spells) and St Patrick's Athletic (2 spells) in Ireland, Solihull Moors in England, Hamilton Academical in Scotland and Bethlehem Steel in the United States.
