2014 Evian Championship
The 2014 Evian Championship was played 11–14 September at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains, France. It was the 21st Evian Championship (the first 19 played as the Evian Masters), and the second as a major championship on the LPGA Tour. The event was televised by Golf Channel and NBC Sports in the United States and Sky Sports in the United Kingdom. Kim Hyo-joo, age 19, shot an opening round 61 (−10) and held on to total 273 (−11), one stroke ahead of runner-up Karrie Webb. Trailing by a stroke at the final tee, Kim sank a putt for birdie while Webb failed to par from the same distance to force a playoff. It was Kim's first win on the LPGA Tour and she became the third-youngest in history to win a women's major title. Karrie Ann Webb (born 21 December 1974) is an Australian professional golfer. She plays mainly on the U.S.-based LPGA Tour, and also turns out once or twice a year on the ALPG Tour in her home country. She is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Jessica Regina Korda ( cs, Jessica Kordová) (born February 27, 1993) is an Czech-American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. Amateur career Korda was a member of the 2009 U.S. Junior Solheim Cup and the 2010 U.S. Curtis Cup teams. Lydia Ko (born 24 April 1997) is a New Zealand professional golfer and the No. 1-ranked woman professional golfer. Jang Ha-na (born 2 May 1992), also known as Ha Na Jang, is a South Korean professional golfer. Jang plays on the LPGA of Korea Tour where she has 15 wins and led the money list in 2013. Caroline Ingrid Hedwall (born 13 May 1989) is a Swedish professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour (LET) and the LPGA Tour.
