2014 European Women's Handball Championship Squads
The following is a list of squads for each nation competing at the 2014 European Women's Handball Championship. On 7 November 2014 every coach had to submit a list of a maximum of 28 players, whom which 16 were selected for the final tournament. The final squads were revealed on 6 and 7 December 2014 at the technical meetings. Group A Hungary Head coach: András Németh A 16-player squad was announced on 24 November 2014. Poland Head coach: Kim Rasmussen The squad was announced on 4 December 2014. Russia Head coach: Yevgeni Trefilov The squad was announced on 27 November 2014 with changes made on 4 December 2014. 2014 European Women's Handball Championship
The 2014 European Women's Handball Championship was the eleventh continental tournament for women's national teams, organized by the European Handball Federation. The second jointly hosted edition in the competition's history took place in Hungary and Croatia from 7 to 21 December 2014. Norway won their sixth title after beating Spain 28–25 in the final. Sweden defeated Montenegro 25–23 to capture the bronze medal. Norway's victory ensured their qualification for the 2016 Summer Olympics. However, they later won the 2015 World Women's Handball Championship, vacating the European champion Olympic berth which fell to Spain as the runner-up. The two next-best placed teams, Sweden and Montenegro, earned spots in the Olympic Qualification Tournaments. Bernadett Bódi
Bernadett Bódi (born 9 March 1986) is a Hungarian handballer. She made her international debut on 2 March 2005 against Denmark. She competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, where the Hungarian team finished fourth, after losing 20–22 to Russia in the semifinal, and 28–33 to South Korea in the bronze match. She also played in five European Championships (2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016), and participated in the World Championship in 2009, 2013, 2015 and in 2017. Kim Rasmussen
Kim Rasmussen (born 22 September 1972) is a Danish handball coach. Career In 2010, Rasmussen took over Poland Women's national team, which he coached until 2016 and led into two semi-final finishes at the World Championships of 2013 and 2015. In 2015, he took charge of the Romanian top division champions, CSM Bucharest and led them into winning the 2016 EHF Champions League in the final against Győr, as well as one Romanian Championship and one Romanian Cup. Zsuzsanna Tomori
Zsuzsanna Tomori (; born 18 June 1987) is a Hungarian handballer for Ferencvárosi TC and the Hungarian national team. Career Club Tomori started to play handball at the age of 12 and signed her first professional contract with Vasas SC in 2004. Considered one of the best players of her position in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I, she moved to league champions Győri ETO KC in 2007. After spent two successful seasons at the club, winning the league and finishing runner-up in the Champions League, in March 2010 dressing room troubles were revealed. As a result, first the Hungarian international was exiled to the reserve team, and after the sides could not find an appropriate solution, she left the club by mutual agreement. Mónika Kovacsicz (formerly Monika Kovačičová; born 20 November 1983) is a retired Hungarian handballer of Slovakia, Slovak descent. Her first major international tournament was the 2005 World Women's Handball Championship, 2005 World Championship, where she finished third with the Hungarian team. Siófok Kézilabda Club is a Hungarian women's team handball team from Siófok, that currently play in the Nemzeti Bajnokság I. They have competed in lower divisions until 2006, when they have won the third-tier championship and gained promotion to the Nemzeti Bajnokság I/B. That time a businessman, János Fodor took over the club, and with the support of the local government, he guaranteed the financial background to fulfil the club's long-term plans.
