2014 Archery World Cup
The 2014 Archery World Cup was the 9th edition of the annual international archery circuit, organised by the World Archery Federation. American Brady Ellison won the men's recurve competition for a record third time, beating 16-year-old Marcus D'Almeida in the final by shoot off. The winners in the other events were all from the Americas. Competition rules and scoring The compound legs consisted of a 50m qualification round of 72 arrows, followed by the compound round at 50m on a 6-zone target face, using cumulative scoring for all individual, team and mixed competitions. The top seven individual performers (with no more than two from each country,) plus one host nation representative if not already qualified, proceeded to the finals; the top mixed team performer proceeded to face the host nation at the finals, which were the same competition format as the legs. Elena Richter
Elena Richter (born 3 July 1989) is a retired German archer. She contested the 2012 Summer Olympics in the women's individual competition, where she was eliminated in the second knockout round placing 30th place in the preliminary ranking round. Richter achieved her first senior title with gold medal at the 2012 World Field Archery Championships in Val d'Isère, and became Germany's first female winner of an Archery World Cup gold medal after victory in the tournament's opening stage in Shanghai. Richter was also a three-time German national champion, winning her third title in 2019 after defeating 2016 Olympic silver medalist Lisa Unruh. Marcus Vinicius D'Almeida
Marcus Vinicius Carvalho Lopes D'Almeida (born January 30, 1998 in Rio de Janeiro), known as Marcus D'Almeida, is a Brazilian athlete who competes in recurve archery. World runner-up in 2021. In February 2023, he became the first Brazilian to lead the world archery ranking in his category, the recurve bow. Career D'Almeida first competed internationally in 2013, and in 2014 won three gold medals at the South American Games (where he broke all South American records for 1440 Rounds) and qualified for the 2014 Archery World Cup Final as the second highest qualifier, where he won a silver medal, losing to Brady Ellison in the final by shoot-off. Mauro Nespoli (born 22 November 1987, in Voghera) is an Italian archer who was a member of the Italian teams that won gold at the 2012 Summer Olympics and silver at the 2008 Summer Olympics. and individual silver at Tokyo 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
