2014 ACC Elite League
The first tournament of second division of ACC Premier League was held in Singapore between 7–13 June 2014. Singapore won the tournament and qualified for 2016 ACC Premier League and Saudi Arabia finishing second qualified for 2015 ICC World Cricket League Division Six. Asian Cricket Council
The Asian Cricket Council also known as ACC is a cricket organisation which was established in 1983, to promote and develop the sport of cricket in Asia. Subordinate to the International Cricket Council, the council is the continent's regional administrative body, and currently consists of 26 member associations. Jay Shah is the current president of Asian Cricket Council. History The council was formed as the Asian Cricket Conference in New Delhi, India, on 19 September 1983, with the original members being Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. Singapore Cricket Club
The Singapore Cricket Club (SCC) is one of the premier sports and social clubs in Singapore. Its clubhouse is located on Connaught Drive on the south end of the Padang in Singapore's central business district. History The SCC was established in 1837. Over the years, the club has had three clubhouse buildings on the Padang. The first was erected in the 1860s and the second in 1877. The third, which forms the core of the present-day clubhouse, was built in 1884. As the second oldest club in Singapore, the SCC today has over 3,000 members. Chetan Suryawanshi (born 24 February 1985) is an Indian-born Singaporean cricketer who was a captain for the Singapore national cricket team. Singapore is his adoptive country and he has been playing for it since 2004. Born in Pune, Maharashtra, India, Suryawanshi has been playing cricket since a very young age. His native village is Velu in Satara district. Suryawanshi is a right-handed batsman and a right-arm medium pace bowler, although his primary role is wicket-keeper. He is often seen bowling his overs and then doing wicket keeping for the other bowlers in the same match. He has led Singapore's national team, most recently during the ICC World Cricket League Division 3 in Uganda. The Singapore Indian Association was established in 1923 with the objective of promoting the social, physical, intellectual, cultural and the general welfare of its members. Mohammad Nadeem (born 4 September 1982) is a Pakistani-born cricketer who plays for the Oman national cricket team. Early life Nadeem was born on 4 September 1982 in Sialkot, Pakistan.
