2013–14 West Bromwich Albion F.C. Season
The 2013–14 season was West Bromwich Albion's fourth consecutive season in the Premier League, their eighth in total. During the season, they also competed in the League Cup and the FA Cup. Season summary Steve Clarke was sacked in December following four consecutive defeats, which left Albion in 16th place. He was replaced by former Real Betis manager Pepe Mel, who guided Albion to safety despite only winning 3 of his 18 matches in charge. At the end of the season, Mel's contract was terminated by mutual consent; he was replaced by Everton's academy manager Alan Irvine. West or Occident is one of the four cardinal directions or points of the compass. It is the opposite direction from east and is the direction in which the Sunset, Sun sets on the Earth. Goran Popov
Goran Popov ( mk, Горан Попов; born 2 October 1984) is a retired Macedonian footballer, who played as a defender. Popov started his career with local side Belasica and moved to Greece with Proodeftiki and AEK Athens. He signed for Red Star Belgrade in 2004 but injuries prevented him from making an impact and he returned to Greek football with Egaleo after a short loan spell in Poland with Odra Wodzisław. Egaleo were relegated in 2007 and Popov joined Levadiakos before moving to Dutch club Heerenveen in July 2008. At Heerenveen he finally found some success and won the KNVB Cup in 2009 scoring in the final against FC Twente. After good form in European competitions Popov signed for Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv. Jonas Olsson (footballer, Born 1983)
Olle Jonas Olsson (born 10 March 1983) is a Swedish former professional footballer who played as a defender. Beginning his career with Landskrona BoIS in 2003, he went on to represent NEC Nijmegen, West Bromwich Albion, and Djurgårdens IF before retiring at Wigan Athletic in 2019. A full international between 2010 and 2015, he won 25 caps for the Swedish national team and represented his country at Euro 2012. Club career Early career Olsson was born in Landskrona and made his debut in professional football in 2003 as part of the Landskrona BoIS squad. England national under-16 football team, also known as England under-16s or England U16(s), represents England in association football at an under-16 age level and is controlled by the Football Association, the governing body for football in England. Steven Reid
Steven John Reid (born 10 March 1981) is a former professional footballer who played as a right back, having previously played most of his career in midfield. He was most recently the first team coach at Nottingham Forest. Reid began his career with Millwall in 1998, moving to Blackburn Rovers five years later. After an initial loan spell, he joined West Bromwich Albion in 2010. His career was troubled by injury; he once notably played for 45 minutes against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium with a broken leg. Reid retired in 2015 after a season with Burnley. Ben Anthony Foster (born 3 April 1983) is an English former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He began his professional career in 2001 with Stoke City, having joined from Racing Club Warwick. However, he never made an appearance for Stoke, and spent time on loan with Bristol City, Tiverton Town, Stafford Rangers, Kidderminster Harriers and Wrexham. Alan Irvine (footballer, Born 1958)
James Alan Irvine (born 12 July 1958) is a Scottish former professional footballer and coach. Irvine played as a winger for Queen's Park, Everton, Crystal Palace, Dundee United and Blackburn Rovers. As a coach, Irvine worked in various roles at Blackburn Rovers, Preston North End, Newcastle United and Everton before becoming a manager, firstly with Preston and then Sheffield Wednesday. After three years in charge of the Everton Academy, he became head coach of West Bromwich Albion. He rejoined Blackburn as assistant manager in November 2015, and was later caretaker manager of Norwich City and assistant manager at West Ham United.
