2013–14 VTB United League
The 2013–14 VTB United League was the 5th complete season of the VTB United League. The tournament featured 20 teams, from 10 countries during the season, 2 more teams than the previous year. It was the first season the VTB United League that functioned as the new domestic first tier level for Russian basketball clubs. CSKA Moscow won their 5th VTB United League title, and their 21st Russian national championship. The VTB United League 2012–13 was the fourth complete season of the VTB United League, which is Northern and Eastern Europe's top-tier level men's professional club basketball competition. The tournament featured 20 teams, from 10 countries. CSKA Moscow won its 4th VTB title, by beating Lokomotiv-Kuban Krasnodar, 3–1, in a best-of-five Finals series. BC Astana
Astana Basketball Club ( kk, Astana Basketbol Kluby), commonly referred to as BC Astana, is a Kazakh professional basketball club that is based in Astana, Kazakhstan. Founded in 2011, it has competed in the Kazakhstan Basketball Championship and the VTB United League since, obtaining a slew of domestic titles in the process. The Kazakhstan Basketball Championship (russian: Чемпионата Казахстана по баскетболу) is the highest professional basketball league in Kazakhstan, it is organised by the National Basketball Federation Kazakhstan. BC Kalev, known as BC Kalev/Cramo for sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball club based in Tallinn, Estonia. The Korvpalli Meistriliiga ( en, Basketball Champions League), known as the OlyBet Korvpalli Meistriliiga for sponsorship reasons, is the highest tier level and most important professional basketball league in Estonia. It is controlled by the Estonian Basketball Association. The first Estonian Basketball Championship tournament was held in 1925. During Soviet era (1941–1991) the league was called the Estonian Soviet Socialist Republic Championship. After Estonia regained its independence in 1991, the league was reformed as the Korvpalli Meistriliiga (KML). The KML, which is played under FIBA rules, currently consists of eight teams.
