2013–14 Liga II
The 2013–14 Liga II was the 74th season of the Liga II, the second tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began on 7 September. The 25 teams were divided in two series (with 13, respectively 12 teams). The regular season was played in a round-robin tournament. The first six teams from each series played a play-off for promotion to Liga I. The teams placed 6th to 12th played in a Relegation play-out. The first two teams in each series promoted at the end of the season to Liga I, and the teams placed below the 10th place were relegated to Liga III. Teams At the end of 2012–13 season, Botoșani, Săgeata Năvodari from Seria I and Corona Brașov, ACS Poli Timișoara promoted to Liga I. Four teams were relegated to Liga III: Chindia Târgoviște, Dinamo II (Seria I), FCMU Baia Mare and Unirea Alba Iulia. Liga II
The Liga 2, most often spelled as Liga II, is the second level of the Romanian football league system. The league changed its name from Divizia B just before the start of the 2006–07. It is currently sponsored by Casa Pariurilor, a betting company with the official name Liga 2 Casa Pariurilor. Format Divisions Since its inception in 1934, Liga II had between 2 and 9 parallel divisions, with clubs divided based on geographic regions. Generally, Seria I included eastern teams while Seria II included western sides, although clubs near the center of the country are allowed to choose in which series they will compete. The first six teams from each series participate in a play-off for potential promotion to Liga I. The Romanian football league system, also known as the football pyramid, refers to the system in Romanian club football that consists of several football leagues bound together hierarchically by promotion and relegation. The first three leagues are organized at a national level and consist of fully professional teams. Lower divisions are organized at county levels, with each county's football association controlling its respective leagues. Reserve teams play in the same league system as their parent clubs. FC Gloria Buzău (), commonly known as Gloria Buzău, is a Romanian association football club based in Buzău. The club currently plays in the Liga II. History Establishment FC Gloria Buzău was founded on 16 June 1973, by the Buzău County Local Council, as part of CSM Buzău (''Clubul Sportiv Municipal'') ( En: ''Municipal Sports Club''), the local all-sports association. 2012–13 Liga III
The 2012–13 Liga III season is the 57th season of the Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. Day one was played on August 31, 2012 and the last round was played on May 30, 2013. The first team in each series will promote at the end of the season to the Liga II, and the teams that finish 10-16 will relegate to the Liga IV. From the teams that finish 9th, another three are relegated, but separate standings are computed, only results against teams that finished 1-8 are taken into consideration. This season was close to a disaster, only 78 teams registered, although 96 spots were available (6x16), thus 18 spots remained unoccupied. From the 78, 5 withdrew from the championship during the first half, CSO Plopeni, Sevișul Șelimbăr, Oltchim Râmnicu Vâlcea, FCM Huși and FC Cisnădie, thus 73 remained in the tables. FC Unirea Alba Iulia
Clubul Sportiv Municipal Unirea Alba Iulia, commonly known as Unirea Alba Iulia (), is a Romanian professional football club based in Alba Iulia, Alba County, founded in 1924 and currently playing in the Liga III. Asociația Club Sportiv Poli Timișoara (), commonly known as ACS Poli Timișoara, Poli Timișoara or simply ACS Poli, was a Romanian professional football club based in the city of Timișoara, Timiș County. The team was founded in 2012, the year the old FC Politehnica Timișoara went bankrupt. Săgeata Năvodari was a Romanian professional football club from Năvodari, Constanța County, Romania, founded in 2010 and dissolved in 2015.
