The DFB-Pokal 2013–14 was the 34th season of the cup competition, Germany's second-most important title in women's football. Participating clubs The following teams qualified for the DFB-Pokal: :R. As runners-up, winner already qualified. Results First Round The draw for the first round was held on 12 July 2013. The eight best clubs of the previous Bundesliga season were awarded byes for the first round. As in previous years, the first round is drawn in northern and a southern group separately. Second Round 24 winners of the previous round join eight clubs with a bye in the first round. Draw was held on 8 September with a northern and southern section separately. Round of 16 Draw was held on 5 October. Quarterfinals Three teams from the second league remain. The draw was held on 19 November 2013. SGS Essen are a German multi-sports club based in Essen, North Rhine-Westphalia. The club was founded in 2000 from the merger of ''VfB Borbeck'' and ''SC Grün-Weiß Schönebeck''. It is most renowned for its women's football team, which plays in the top-tier Frauen-Bundesliga. History On 21 March 1973 SC Grün-Weiß Schönebeck established its women's section. After playing for several years in lower leagues, Schönebeck was promoted to the Verbandsliga (III) in 1992. They played in this league until 1999 with an intermezzo in 1996–97, when the club participated for a year in the Regionalliga (II). The promotion to the Regionalliga in 1999 was followed by five years of football in that league until Schönebeck gained promotion to the Bundesliga in 2004. TuS Wörrstadt is a German women's football multi-sports club based in Wörrstadt, Rhineland-Palatinate. The club was founded in 1847 and is most famous for its women's football department which won the first national championship in 1974. Recently the team has been relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga. The club has other departments for badminton, gymnastics, team handball, and track and field. They also have a department which is involved in activities revolving around the carnival. History The women's football section of TuS Wörrstadt was founded in 1969 by Egon Rehbein. In the first few years of their existence they were one of the most prominent teams in German women's football, winning nearly every game they attended. SC 07 Bad Neuenahr was a German football club from Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler, Rhineland-Palatinate. SV Werder Bremen Frauen is SV Werder Bremen's women's football section, currently competing in the Frauen-Bundesliga of Germany. In 2014–15 they were promoted to the Bundesliga. SV Meppen is a German association football club playing in Meppen, Lower Saxony. The club was founded on 29 November 1912 as ''Amisia Meppen'' and joined ''Männer-Turnverein Meppen'' on 8 February 1920 to form ''TuS Meppen 1912''. Magdeburger FFC is a women's football club from Magdeburg. The club was founded in 1997 and won promotion to the 2. Fußball-Bundesliga in 2009. History The club's roots lie with local sports club ''SG Handwerk Magdeburg''. In the only official East German championship, the 1990-91 season, the team finished last. In 1991 the football department joined SV Fortuna Magdeburg, but in the next few years the team's performance was inconsistent. After a few mid-table results the team battled against relegation at the end of the 1990s. In 1997 the football department left the club again and created a new club, ''FSV Fortuna Magdeburg/Wolmirstedt''. To further emphasize their independence from Fortuna Magdeburg, the club changed its name to Magdeburger FFC on 1 July 2003.
