2013 Tour De Langkawi
The 2013 Tour de Langkawi was the 18th edition of the Tour de Langkawi, a cycling stage race that took place in Malaysia. The LTdL 2013, which carries the slogan "Can You Feel The Heat?" and "The Heat is On!", was officially begun on 21 February in Kangar and ended on 2 March in Kuala Terengganu. The race was sanctioned by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) as a 2.HC (hors category) race on the 2012–13 UCI Asia Tour calendar. The race was organised by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, via the National Sports Council (NSC) in association with the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF). Julián Arredondo of Colombia won the overall race, 1' 15" clear of Dutch cyclist Pieter Weening and Sergio Pardilla of Spain was third overall. The 2012–13 UCI Asia Tour was the 9th season of the UCI Asia Tour. The season began on 20 October 2012 with the Tour of Hainan and ended on 30 September 2013 with the Tour of China II. Tapah is a town and the capital of Batang Padang District, Perak, Malaysia. Name The name "Tapah" is said to be originated from the name of a freshwater fish, ''"Ikan Tapah"''. Sungai Siput (U) ( Jawi: سوڠاي سيڤوت; Tamil: சுங்கை சீப்புட்) (English: Snail River) is a town and mukim in Kuala Kangsar District, Perak, Malaysia, covering 155.141 hectares, 61.5% of the total area of Kuala Kangsar. Bryan Coquard (born 25 April 1992) is a French cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . He was a silver medalist at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Omnium. Career Youth and amateur career Coquard began cycling in 1999 at the age of seven, at the US Pontchâteau club. In September 2008, aged sixteen, he joined CREPS Bordeaux, where he was coached by Éric Vermeulen. In 2009, Coquard won the gold medal in the omnium at the UCI Juniors World Championships, as well as winning the scratch at the European championships. He retained his Junior Omnium crown in 2010, winning four of the six events, he also finished second in the Scratch Race.
