2013 Stock Car Brasil Season
The 2013 Stock Car Brasil season was the 35th Stock Car Brasil season. It began on March 3 at the Interlagos and ended on December 15 at the same circuit, after twelve rounds. Pirelli return to the championship after a five-season absence, replacing Goodyear as tyre supplier. Teams and drivers All drivers were Brazilian-registered. Team changes * William Lube and Andreas Mattheis owners of Shell Racing-WA Mattheis ended the partnership. Mattheis began sharing the team's command with his son Rodolhpo Mattheis and changed its official name to R.Mattheis Motorsport, but, sponsor's reasons continue to like Shell Racing. Lube alongside Cimed Group purchased the JF Racing and created a new team Voxx Racing. * Pharmaceutical company Cimed forms a new team by buying the JF team. Stock Car Pro Series, formerly known as Stock Car Brasil, is a touring car auto racing series based in Brazil organized by Vicar. It is considered the major Brazilian and South American motorsports series. Starting in 1979 with Chevrolet as the only constructor, the series has also seen other constructors joining in and leaving such as Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Volkswagen, currently the only other beside Chevrolet is Toyota. The series is composed by 12 rounds, with the most important race, the Corrida do Milhão (English: ''The'' ''Million Race'') being worth double points and has a prize pool of R$1 million. Ricardo Maurício (born January 7, 1979) is a Brazilian auto racing, racing driver. He currently drives in the Stock Car Brasil series, which he won in 2008, 2013 and 2020. Prior to this he raced in several European open-wheel racing, single-seater formulae, winning the Spanish Formula Three Championship and recording podium finishes in International Formula 3000. Career Formula Vauxhall/Opel Maurício was born in São Paulo. After some time spent kart racing, he moved up to formula racing in Brazil and won the local Formula Ford championship in 1995. Max Wilson (born August 22, 1972 in Hamburg, West Germany) is a racing driver of Brazilian parentage. Racing career Junior formulae Wilson started his motor racing career in 1985 in go-karts. He moved into single-seaters in 1993, when he was offered a ride in the Brazilian Formula Ford Championship. In 1994 he moved to the Brazilian Formula Chevrolet Championship and finished 2nd overall, behind Felipe Giaffone. Ricardo Sperafico (born 23 July 1979) is a Brazilian professional racing driver. Career Born in Toledo, he resides in a family of racers, twin brother of Rodrigo, and with two cousins, Alexandre and the late Rafael. He began his career in Europe in Formula Ford. In 1998 and 1999 competed in South American Formula Three and won the Italian Formula 3000 series in 2000, before moving to International F3000 competition the following season. In 2002, Ricardo, Rodrigo and Alexandre all raced in the series with Ricardo finishing the best, 5th, driving for Petrobras Junior Team. He finished runner-up in 2003 before taking 2004 off.
