2013 National Football Challenge Cup
The 2013 National Football Challenge Cup was the 23rd season of National Challenge Cup, the main cup competition in Pakistani football. A total of 16 clubs entered the competition, the tournament commenced on 15 May 2018. Bahawalpur were the hosts for the tournament, thus earning DFA Bahawalpur a spot in the tournament, courtesy of being the hosts. Khan Research Laboratories were the defending champions, they were knocked out in quarter finals, losing 5–4 on penalties to the eventual winners National Bank. National Bank won the tournament, defeating Karachi Electric Supply Corporation 1–0 in the finals. This was the first major trophy for National Bank since 1993, when they won the National Challenge Cup that year. Zia Us-Salam (born 4 February 1990) is a Pakistani footballer, who plays for Khan Research Laboratories as a midfielder. He is the captain of Khan Research Laboratories. He won four league titles and five National Challenge Cup with the club. He made his international debut on 19 November 2012, against Singapore in a 4–0 loss. Muhammad Adil Iqbal ( ur, ; born 9 July 1992) is a Pakistani footballer who plays as a midfielder for Lyallpur FC of Pakistan Premier League and the Pakistan national team. A right-footed player, he usually plays as central midfielder. Earlier in his career he primarily played as a wide midfielder. Shakir Lashari ( ur, شاکر لاشاری; born 24 March 1984) is a Pakistani former footballer who played as a striker. Muhammad Rasool (born May 23, 1985) is a Pakistani former footballer who played as a forward. Rasool won the league with K-Electric in 2014–15 season.
