2013 NPSL Season
The 2013 National Premier Soccer League season was the 101st season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States, and the 11th season of the NPSL. The season began in May 2013. FC Sonic Lehigh Valley were the defending champions, having won their first NPSL title the previous season. The league held their Annual General Managers meeting (AGM) during the weekend of the NASL Soccer Bowl in Atlanta in November. National Premier Soccer League
The National Premier Soccer League (NPSL) is an American men's association football, soccer league. The NPSL is a semi-professional league, comprising some teams that have paid players and some that are entirely amateur. The league is officially affiliated to the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) and has automatic qualification for the U.S. Open Cup. It is the successor of the Men's Premier Soccer League, a regional league originally based in the Western United States, which has now expanded nationwide to encompass teams from 29 states. The league's motto is "A National League with a Regional Focus". Competition format The National Premier Soccer League is divided into four separate regions (Northeast, South, Midwest, and West). Each region is divided into conferences with a varying number of teams per conference. DC United Academy U23
D.C. United U-23 were an American soccer club based in Washington, D.C. The team last played in the fourth-division Premier Development League and represented the most senior age group within parent club D.C. United's academy system. The club was founded in 2011 and spent 2012 playing a string of exhibition matches against various PDL and NPSL clubs, before debuting in the National Premier Soccer League in 2013. Founded in 2009, the team plays in Region III of the United States Adult Soccer Association, a network of amateur leagues at the fifth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. Jersey Blues FC was an American soccer team based in Morristown, New Jersey, United States. Founded in 2007, the team plays in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid, in the Keystone Conference. Greater Binghamton FC (GBFC) was an American soccer team located in Binghamton, New York. The team was established in 2012. The team played its home games out of the Greater Binghamton Sports Complex. History Greater Binghamton Futbol Club (GBFC) was founded in 2012 in Binghamton, New York to compete in the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid and roughly equivalent with the USL Premier Development League (PDL).
