2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series
The 2013 NASCAR Canadian Tire Series season is the seventh season of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series taking place in the summer of 2013. The season composed of twelve races at ten different venues. Seven of those events were contested on oval courses. Summary The seventh season consists of 12 events spanning across 5 provinces featuring 12 events. Television rights are once again licensed to TSN in one-hour tape-delayed episodes, excluding both events at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park road course which will be aired live on TSN and CTV. The season started on May 19 at the newly renovated Canadian Tire Motorsport Park with Louis-Philippe Dumoulin collecting his first series win with longtime veteran Jeff Lapcevich finishing second. After a two-year hiatus the series is set to return to the Autodrome St. Eustache on 27 July as the events in Montreal and Edmonton Airport will not return the calendar. NASCAR Canadian Tire Series
The NASCAR Pinty's Series (french: Série NASCAR Pinty's), commonly abbreviated as NPS, is a national NASCAR racing series in Canada, and is a continuation of the old CASCAR Super Series which was founded in 1981. History In September 2006 NASCAR purchased the CASCAR Super Series, the top Canadian stock-car racing series at the time. At the same time, they established a sponsorship agreement with Canadian Tire as the title sponsor. They also signed a television contract with TSN to carry all events with select races being aired live. Three of the series races, Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal, had crowds in excess of 50,000 fans. Ty Dillon
Tyler Reed Dillon (born February 27, 1992) is an American professional stock car racing driver who competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 77 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Spire Motorsports. He has also competed in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, what is now the ARCA Menards Series, what are now the ARCA Menards Series East and West and what is now known as the NASCAR Pinty's Series in the past. Derek White (racing Driver)
Derek White (born December 9, 1970) is a Canadian professional stock car racing driver. He last competed part-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 13 Toyota Camry and No. 40 Dodge Challenger as an owner/driver for MBM Motorsports. In March 2016, White was arrested and charged for smuggling tobacco from the United States into Canada. He was eventually suspended indefinitely by NASCAR. Mario Gosselin (racing Driver)
Mario Gosselin (born October 20, 1971) is a Canadian-American professional stock car racing driver, crew chief, and team owner. He owns DGM Racing, a team that competes in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. In 2004, he became the second native of the Province of Quebec to start in a NASCAR Nextel Cup Series race after Superbike legend Yvon Duhamel. In 1997, he became the first Canadian to win the championship title for the NASCAR CARS Pro Cup Series. Martin Roy
Martin Roy (born February 1, 1974) is a Canadian professional stock car racing driver. He has also run the entirety of the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series. Racing career K&N Pro Series East Roy made one start in the K&N Pro Series East, the season-opening 2013 race at Bristol Motor Speedway, where he started 31st and finished 22nd, a lap down. Canadian Tire Series Roy debuted in 2011, running four races. Running Dodges, he crashed out of his first attempt at Circuit ICAR but did not crash again that season. He recorded a best finish of 13th at Circuit de Trois-Rivieres. Andrew Ranger (born November 20, 1986) is a Canadian professional racing driver who competes full-time in the NASCAR Pinty's Series, driving the No. 27 for Paillé Course//Racing.
