2013 Men's Pan American Cup
The 2013 Men's Pan American Cup was the fourth edition of the Men's Pan American Cup, the quadrennial men's international field hockey championship of the Americas organized by the Pan American Hockey Federation. It was held between 10 and 17 August 2013 in Brampton, Canada. The tournament doubled as the qualifier for two major international tournaments: the winner qualified directly to the 2014 World Cup, and the three teams not qualifying through the 2014 South American Games or the 2014 Central American and Caribbean Games qualified for the 2015 Pan American Games to be held in Toronto, Canada. Also, the top 6 teams qualified for the next Pan American Cup, while the bottom two will need to compete in the Pan American Challenge. The 2009 Men's Pan American Cup was the third edition of the Men's Pan American Cup, the quadrennial men's international field hockey championship of the Americas organized by the Pan American Hockey Federation. It was held between 7 and 15 March 2009 in Santiago, Chile. The tournament doubled as the qualifier to the 2010 World Cup to be held in New Delhi, India. The winner would qualify directly while teams ranked between 2nd and 4th would have the chance to obtain one of three berths at the World Cup Qualifiers. José Leandro Tolini (born 14 March 1990) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays as a defender for German Bundesliga club TSV Mannheim and the Argentine national team. Club career In 2010, Tolini moved to Belgium to play for the Waterloo Ducks. After one season, he moved to Spain to play for Taburiente who he also left after one season to return to Argentina to play for Ba. Na. De. Lucas Martín Vila (born 23 August 1986) is an Argentine field hockey player who plays for Spanish club Benalmádena as a forward. The FIH Men's World Ranking is a ranking system for men's national teams in field hockey. The teams of the member nations of International Hockey Federation (FIH), field hockey's world governing body, are ranked based on their game results. The rankings were introduced in October 2003.
