2013 MAC Championship Game
The 2013 Mid-American Football Championship Game was played on December 6, 2013, between the winners of the East division, the Bowling Green Falcons and the winners of the West division, the Northern Illinois Huskies. The Championship game determined the 2013 football champion of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). The winner was to be the Mid-American Conference representative for the 2014 GoDaddy.com Bowl on January 5, 2014, in Mobile, Alabama. Going into the game, Northern Illinois was hoping for an undefeated season and another chance at a BCS game. Bowling Green ended that dream with a 47–27 win. Ford Field
Ford Field is a domed American football stadium located in Downtown Detroit. Juwan Brescacin (born January 10, 1993) is a professional Canadian football wide receiver for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has played in three Grey Cup games and was a member of the 106th Grey Cup championship team. He played college football for the Northern Illinois Huskies. Jordan Lynch (born October 3, 1990) is a former American football quarterback and running back. After playing college football at Northern Illinois, where he was a finalist for the Heisman Trophy in 2013, and going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, Lynch had stints with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League and Edmonton Eskimos of the Canadian Football League. The Bowl Championship Series (BCS) was a selection system that created four or five bowl game match-ups involving eight or ten of the top ranked teams in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) of American college football, including an opportunity for the top two teams to compete in the BCS National Championship Game.
