2013 ISU World Team Trophy In Figure Skating
The 2013 ISU World Team Trophy was an international team figure skating competition in the 2012–13 season. Participating countries selected two men's single skaters, two ladies' single skaters, one pair and one ice dancing entry to compete in a team format with points based on the skaters' placement. Entries Overview Six countries qualified for the event: Canada (7824 points), the United States (7156), Japan (6823), Russia (6648), France (4826), and China (4702). Japan had no pair entry due to the split of Narumi Takahashi / Mervin Tran. There were several changes to the initial roster. Ekaterina Bobrova / Dmitri Soloviev withdrew due to an injury to Soloviev and Ksenia Monko / Kirill Khaliavin were named in their place. 2012–13 Figure Skating Season
The 2012–13 figure skating season began on July 1, 2012, and ended on June 30, 2013. During this season, elite skaters from men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance competed on the International Skating Union (ISU) Championship level at the 2013 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships. They also competed in elite events such as the Grand Prix series and Junior Grand Prix series, culminating in the Grand Prix Final. Season notes The 2012–2013 pattern dance in the short dance was the Yankee Polka on the senior level and Blues on the junior level. One accident occurred at a competition – at the 2012 Cup of China, the United States' Adam Rippon collided with China's Song Nan who sustained a concussion and withdrew. Andrew Poje
Andrew Poje (born February 25, 1987) is a Canadian ice dancer. With partner Kaitlyn Weaver, he is a three-time World medalist (2014 silver, 2015 and 2018 bronze), a two-time Four Continents champion (2010, 2015), a two-time Grand Prix Final champion (2014–15, 2015–16), and a three-time Canadian national champion (2015, 2016, 2019). Personal life Andrew Poje was born on February 25, 1987, in Waterloo, Ontario. His ancestry is Slovak — his mother was born in Bratislava — and Slovenian Gottscheer. Vanessa James
Vanessa James (born 27 September 1987) is a Canadian retired pair skater. Representing France with her former skating partner, Morgan Ciprès, she is the 2019 European Champion, the 2018 World bronze medallist, the 2017 European bronze medallist, the 2018 Grand Prix Final champion, and a six-time French national champion. They have also won medals in Grand Prix and Challenger Series competitions. James and Ciprès competed at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics. With her previous partner Yannick Bonheur, James represented France at the 2010 Winter Olympics, placing fourteenth. Maé-Bérénice Méité (; born 21 September 1994) is a French figure skater. She is the 2011 Ondrej Nepela Memorial champion, the 2016 International Cup of Nice champion, the 2015 Winter Universiade silver medalist, and a six-time French national champion. She has finished in the top six at three European Championships and represented France at the 2014 and 2018 Winter Olympics. Romain Ponsart (born 27 April 1992) is a retired French figure skater. He is the 2012 Triglav Trophy bronze medalist and 2015 Toruń Cup champion. He is a six-time French National medalist. Personal life Ponsart was born on 27 April 1992 in Charleville-Mézières, France. He was previously engaged to American figure skater Mariah Bell. Career Ponsart began competing on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in 2009. In 2011, he was selected to compete at the World Junior Championships and finished 17th. Zhang Kexin (; born October 17, 1995) is a Chinese former figure skater. She is the 2014 Chinese national champion. Career Zhang began skating in 2000. Li Mingzhu became her coach in 2008.
