2013 Formula Renault 2.0 NEC Season
The 2013 Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup was the eighth Formula Renault 2.0 Northern European Cup season, an open-wheel motor racing series for emerging young racing drivers based in Europe. The season began at Hockenheimring on 7 April and ended on 14 October at Zandvoort, after sixteen races at seven events. The title was clinched by Fortec Motorsports driver Matt Parry, who won five races. His teammate Jack Aitken finished as runner-up after five podium finishes. Dennis Olsen with three podiums completed the top three in the drivers' standings. Wins in other races were shared between non-regular drivers Oliver Rowland, Steijn Schothorst, Andrea Pizzitola, Esteban Ocon, Óscar Tunjo and Jake Dennis. Matt Parry
Matthew Parry (born 14 January 1994) is a British racing driver. Career Karting Born in Cardiff, Parry entered karting in 2006, when he finished second in the Hoddesdon Kart Club Championship Minimax. His biggest success was in the last year of his karting career, winning the Super 1 National Rotax Max Junior championship in 2010. Formula Ford & InterSteps In 2011 Parry made his début in single-seaters, taking part in the British Formula Ford Championship with Fluid Motorsport. He finished eighth with eighteen point-scoring finishes in 24 races. For 2012, he decided to switch to the InterSteps championship for Fortec Motorsports. He took thirteen wins and a total of 21 podiums in 23 races on his way to the championship title. Jack Aitken (Korean: 한세용, ''Han Se-yong''; born 23 September 1995 in London) is a British- South Korean racing driver who currently competes for Racing Team Turkey in the European Le Mans Series and for Emil Frey Racing in the ADAC GT Masters and the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup. JD Motorsport is an auto racing team based in Vespolate, Italy that competes in formula single-seaters in Europe. History The team was formed in the 1995 by Roberto Cavallari and Alfredo Cappelletti. Autodrom Most
Autodrom Most is a hard-surfaced long race track for motorsport outside of the city of Most in the northwest of the Czech Republic. The racing circuit was built between 1978 and 1983, but the Most district was known for organizing motorcycle and car races earlier. Autodrome is used for races of cars, trucks, motorcycles and free circuit rides, but also for test rides of developed cars, training of drivers of fire engines, ambulance and police cars, as well as training of drivers in crisis situations, etc. In April 2021, the Most round was announced as being added into the Superbike World Championship series with a five-year agreement. Raoul Owens (born 22 August 1994) is a London-based, British racing driver. He will compete in the VLN Endurance Championship based at the Nürburgring with Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW. Career Early years It was in the UK at the age of 8 that Raoul Owens began competing in karting. Shortly after, in 2005 with the family move to South Africa, Raoul continued his early development by joining the Western Province Motoring Club. Andrés Méndez (born July 30, 1992) is a Colombian racing driver. Racing career Méndez began kart racing in 2008, encouraged by his father and grandfather, who were both professional racers. He raced in the Easykart Colombia Junior Class, finishing in fourth place at the end of the season. In 2009 he finished second in the KZ2 Class Open Colombia, and was recognized as ¨Rookie of the Year¨. Aurélien Panis (born 29 October 1994 in Saint-Martin-d'Hères) is a professional French racing driver. He is best known for being the son of the former Formula 1 driver, Olivier Panis.
