The 2013 Finlandia Trophy is a senior international figure skating competition in the 2013–14 season. The 18th edition of the annual event was held on October 4–6, 2013 at the Barona Arena in Espoo. Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, ice dancing, and synchronized skating. 2013–14 Figure Skating Season
The 2013–14 figure skating season began on July 1, 2013, and ended on June 30, 2014. During this season, elite skaters competed at the Olympic level in the 2014 Winter Olympics and at the ISU Championship level in the 2014 European, Four Continents, World Junior, and World Championships. Gerli Liinamäe (born 21 March 1995) is an Estonian figure skater. She is the 2017 Volvo Open Cup champion, the 2019 Nordic silver medalist, and a four-time (2011, 2015, 2018, 2019) Estonian national champion. She has competed in the final segment at five ISU Championships. Her best placements were 13th at the 2011 European Championships and 14th at the 2012 World Junior Championships. Ossi Kanervo (born 23 November 1987) is a Finnish ice dancer. With partner Henna Lindholm, he is the 2012 Nordic champion, the 2014 Bavarian Open bronze medalist, and a three-time Finnish national champion. With partner Olesia Karmi, he is the 2015 CS Ice Challenge bronze medalist, 2014 NRW Trophy bronze medalist, and a two-time (2013 and 2015) Finnish national champion. The duo reached the free skate at two ISU Championships – 2013 Europeans in Zagreb and 2015 Europeans in Stockholm. They were 22nd at the 2013 World Championships in London, Ontario. Juulia Turkkila (; born 3 November 1994) is a Finnish figure skater. Competing in ice dancing with Matthias Versluis, she is the 2022 Grand Prix of Espoo bronze medalist and a two-time Finnish national champion. As a single skater, she is the 2012 Nordic champion and 2014 Finnish national champion. Kiira Linda Katriina Korpi (; born 26 September 1988) is a Finnish figure skater. She is a three-time European medalist (bronze in 2007 and 2011, silver in 2012), the 2010 Trophée Eric Bompard champion, the 2012 Rostelecom Cup champion, a two-time Cup of China medalist, and a five-time Finnish national champion (2009, 2011–2013, 2015). Valtter Virtanen (born 4 June 1987) is a Finnish figure skater. He is a three-time Nordic medalist (gold in 2022, silver in 2016, bronze in 2014) and a six-time Finnish national champion (2013, 2015–2018, 2022). He has qualified for the free skate at three ISU Championships. Personal life Virtanen was born on 4 June 1987 in Kerava, Finland. After completing his studies in late 2015, he became a medical doctor at a hospital in Oberstdorf, Germany. He works part-time in the emergency room of the hospital of Peurunka in Finland.
