2013 British Indoor Athletics Championships
The 2013 British Indoor Athletics Championships was the 7th edition of the national championship in indoor track and field for the United Kingdom. It was held from 9–10 February 2013 at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield, England. A total of 24 events (divided evenly between the sexes) were contested over the two-day competition. Michael Bingham
Michael Bingham (born 13 April 1986) is a British 400 metres track and field athlete. He is one of five children born to British citizen Norris Bingham and Mollissie in Sylva, North Carolina. His parents separated when he was young, and he was raised by his mother, attending The McCallie School. Bingham holds the school record in the 100 m, 200 m, 300IH, 4 × 100 m, 4 × 200 m, 4 × 400 m, 110 m hurdles and decathlon. Bingham studied at Wake Forest University, and after transferring allegiance on April 30, 2008, Bingham was part of the Great Britain 4 × 400 m relay team at the 2008 Summer Olympics, that came 3rd in Beijing. He ran a personal best of 44.74 in the 400 m semi-finals of 2009 World Championships in Athletics, qualifying for the final where he finished 7th. Robbie Grabarz
Robert Karl Grabarz (born 3 October 1987) is a retired British high jumper. Active during the 2010s, with his greatest success coming in two periods between 2012 and 2017. He was the 2012 European champion, the 2012 Diamond League high jump champion and won a shared silver medal in the 2012 Summer Olympics, which was upgraded from bronze after disqualification of the original winner, Ivan Ukhov of Russia, for doping in 2021. He failed to figure at the sharp end internationally in 2014 and 2015, but between 2016 and 2017 Grabarz had a significant return to form, as he won World and European silver medals indoors, and European outdoors silver as well as finishing 4th at the 2016 Summer Olympics.and 6th at the 2017 World Championships. Gianni Frankis
Gianni Frankis (born 16 April 1988) is a British-born Italian athlete specialising in the sprint hurdles. He represented Great Britain at the 2009 World Championships without advancing from the first round. In addition, he won several medals at age-group competitions. He switched allegiance from Great Britain to Italy in 2016 but is yet to compete internationally for the new country. Tom Humphries is a former sports journalist and columnist who wrote for ''The Irish Times'' while volunteering at a North Dublin Gaelic games club. His career as a leading sportswriter was ended after his history of child sexual abuse emerged in 2011. In 2017, he pleaded guilty to a number of child sex offences and received a year imprisonment sentence. David Bishop (born 9 May 1987 in Darmstadt, Germany) is an international middle-distance running athlete representing Great Britain, and was an All-American at the University of New Mexico. Charlie Grice
Charles Da'Vall Grice (born 7 November 1993), informally known as Charlie Grice, is a British middle distance athlete. Athletics career Grice started out as both a footballer, playing at county level, and an athlete, but balancing them both led to injuries and he decided to solely focus on athletics. He had a breakthrough in 2010, when he broke the English Schools' Athletics Association Championships record in the final of the 1500 metres as well as taking the title. He went on from this to win bronze at the 2010 Summer Youth Olympics in the 1000 metres, after coming second at the European Trials event in Russia. In 2012 he broke Steve Ovett's British junior mile record, running 3:57.90 at the London Grand Prix in Crystal Palace as part of the Diamond League.
