2013 Blancpain Endurance Series Silverstone Round
Round 2 of the 2013 Blancpain Endurance Series season took place at Silverstone Circuit on 2 June 2013. A field of 57 GT3 cars competed in the 3-hour endurance race. The race was won by the Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3 of Aston Martin Racing, driven by Darren Turner, Fred Makowiecki and Stefan Mucke. Official results Class winners in bold. Christopher Mies
Christopher Mies (born 24 May 1989) is a professional German racing driver who currently competes for Audi Sport in GT3 series such as ADAC GT Masters and GT World Challenge Europe. Career Mies began his career in 2006 in the Toyota Yaris Cup Germany, followed in 2007 by the Ford Fiesta Cup Germany. While racing a Ford Fiesta ST he won Division 2 of the ADAC Procar Series in 2008. In the same year he also moved into GT Racing for the first time, entering two races of the ADAC GT Masters in an Audi R8 LMS, thus beginning a long connection with the Audi brand. In 2009, he won his first major championship title, winning the FIA GT3 European Championship for Phoenix Racing with Christopher Haase, once again in an Audi R8 LMS. Davide Rigon (born 26 August 1986) is an Italian professional racing driver who is currently competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship and other selected GT races for AF Corse. He is also currently part of the Scuderia Ferrari Formula One test driver team. Career Starting out in Formula BMW ADAC in 2003, Thiene-born Rigon progressed to the Italian Formula Renault Championship and Italian Formula Three. Loris Kessel (1 April 1950 – 15 May 2010) was a racing driver from Switzerland. Biography He was born in Lugano and died in Montagnola following a long illness. He participated in six Formula One World Championship Grands Prix, debuting on 2 May 1976. He scored no championship points. In 1976, he drove a Brabham for RAM, and in 1977 he drove his own Apollon- Williams, although this car was not a success. Kessel ran a series of car dealerships in Switzerland and his own racing team, competing in Ferrari Challenge series in Italy and the main European series. The BMW Z4 (E89) is the second generation of the BMW Z4 range of two-door roadsters, and was produced from 2009 to 2016. The E89 replaced the E85/E86 Z4 and is the fourth model in the BMW Z Series. Markus Palttala (born 16 August 1977 in Nakkila) is a Finnish racing driver. After racing in karts, Palttala began racing cars in the Finnish Touring Car Championship in 1998. He competed in the 2001 European Super Production Championship, driving a Honda Integra. Palttala's first run in Grand Touring cars came in 2000 in the single-make Porsche Carrera Cup Germany.
