2013 Alberta Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2013 Alberta Scotties Tournament of Hearts, Alberta's women's provincial curling championship, was held from January 23 to 27 at the Lethbridge Curling Club in Lethbridge, Alberta. The winning Kristie Moore rink from Grande Prairie went on to represent Alberta at the 2013 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Kingston, Ontario. Qualification Twelve teams will qualify for the provincial tournament through several berths. Lethbridge
Lethbridge ( ) is a city in the province of Alberta, Canada. With a population of 101,482 in its 2019 Alberta municipal censuses, 2019 municipal census, Lethbridge became the fourth Alberta city to surpass 100,000 people. The nearby Canadian Rockies, Canadian Rocky Mountains contribute to the city's warm summers, mild winters, and Chinook wind, windy climate. Lethbridge lies southeast of Calgary on the Oldman River. Shannon Kleibrink
Shannon Kleibrink (born October 7, 1968 in Norquay, Saskatchewan) is a retired Canadian curler from Okotoks, Alberta. She and her team of third Amy Nixon, second Glenys Bakker, lead Christine Keshen and alternate Sandra Jenkins represented Canada at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. They won a bronze medal. Career As a junior curler, Kleibrink lost in the final of the 1987 junior provincial championships, and in the Alberta final to qualify for the Canada Winter Games, both to LaDawn Funk. After losing in the final of the 1991 Alberta Scott Tournament of Hearts, Kleibrink won the 1993 provincial title, defeating Funk in the final. This qualified her to represent Alberta at the 1993 Scott Tournament of Hearts, Canada's national curling championship. There, her team of Sandra Jenkins, Sally Shigehiro and Joanne Wright finished 6-5. Erin Carmody
Erin Carmody (born August 4, 1988) is a Canadian curler, originally from Prince Edward Island but residing in Halifax, Nova Scotia as of 2019. As of 2022, she plays third on Team Sarah Murphy. A native of the city of Summerside, Carmody was a biology student at the University of Prince Edward Island when she broke onto the curling scene by winning three consecutive provincial junior championships, twice with an undefeated record. She entered the national scene in 2010 after forming a rink with longtime teammate Geri-Lynn Ramsay and veteran curlers Kathy O'Rourke and Trisha Affleck that captured the 2010 provincial championships at the senior level. Casey Scheidegger (born January 31, 1988) is a Canadian curler from Lethbridge, Alberta. She is a former provincial junior champion and is currently a skip on the World Curling Tour. Career Juniors Scheidegger won the 2009 Alberta Junior Curling championships with teammates Kalynn Park, younger sister Jessie Haughian, and Jayme Coutts. The rink represented Alberta at the 2009 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, where they finished the round robin in second place with a 9–3 record.
