2012–13 Scottish League Cup
The 2012–13 Scottish League Cup was the 67th season of Scotland's second-most prestigious football knockout competition. It is also known as the Scottish Communities League Cup for sponsorship reasons, after the Scottish Government continued their 1.7 million sponsorship for a second season. Format The competition is a single elimination knock-out competition. In each round, fixtures are determined by random draw, with the first to third rounds seeded according to last season's league positions (higher 50% of finishers drawn v lower 50% of finishers, alternating which is at home with each tie drawn). Fixtures are played to a finish, with extra time and then penalties used in the event of draws. The competition is open to all clubs in the Scottish Premier League and Scottish Football League. Stenhousemuir
Stenhousemuir (; gd, Featha Thaigh nan Clach) is a town in the Central Lowlands of Scotland. It lies within the Falkirk (council area), Falkirk council area of Scotland. The town is north-northwest of Falkirk and directly adjoins to Larbert in the west, where the nearest rail access is located. The villages of Carron, Falkirk, Carron and Carronshore adjoin Stenhousemuir to the east but to a lesser extent. At the United Kingdom Census 2001, 2001 census it showed that it had a resident population of 10,351 but according to a 2009 estimate this was revised to around 10,190 residents. Ryan Conroy (born 28 April 1987) is a Scottish professional footballer who plays as a left-winger for Peterhead. He can also play as a left-back. Gary Irvine (born 17 March 1985) is a Scottish professional footballer and manager. He has previously played for Celtic, Ross County, St Johnstone, Dundee and St Mirren and Forfar Athletic, the last of which he also performed the role of player-manager for. John David Baird (born 22 August 1985) is a Scottish footballer who plays as a forward. He currently plays for Football West State League Division 1 side Mandurah City. Kevin McBride (footballer)
Kevin McBride (born 14 June 1981) is a Scottish football player and coach. Career Playing McBride started his career with Celtic, but did not make a first team appearance for the club. He moved to Motherwell, initially on loan, and made 63 league appearances for the Fir Park club. McBride then had a brief spell with Darlington making 6 league appearances and scoring 1 goal. He returned to Scotland with Falkirk in January 2008. McBride had a public dispute with the Falkirk fans towards the end of the 2008–09 season, after the supporters' trust had called for manager John Hughes to be sacked. Scott Bonner McLaughlin (born 20 January 1984 in Glasgow) is a Scottish former professional association footballer, who plays for Doncaster City. McLaughlin has previously played for Hamilton Academical, Livingston, Greenock Morton, Airdrie United, Ayr United (two spells), Queen of the South, Peterhead, Clyde, Albion Rovers, Edusport Academy and Stenhousemuir. Callum MacDonald
Callum Macdonald (1912–1999), was a Scottish printer and publisher born in Breaclete on the island of Great Bernera. He was educated in Stornoway and read History at the University of Edinburgh. After service in the Royal Air Force in World War II, he set up in business as a publisher in Edinburgh (relocating latterly to Loanhead) and founded the literary journal ''Lines Review'' in 1952. He died in Peebles. As a principled publisher, Callum Macdonald used proceeds from his general printing business to specialise in the publication of poetry and was instrumental in advancing the work of many major Scottish poets such as Hugh MacDiarmid, Sydney Goodsir Smith and Norman MacCaig. Rory McAllister (born 13 May 1987 in Aberdeen) is a Scottish professional footballer, who plays for Scottish League Two club Peterhead. Club career Inverness Caledonian Thistle After being released from Aberdeen's youth set-up (he never played for the first team, but did play for the reserves on a few occasions), McAllister was given a chance to resurrect his career at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
