The 2012–13 season was the 111th season of football for Norwich City. It was Norwich City's second campaign in the Premier League since being promoted in the 2010–11 season. It was their 23rd season in the top flight of English football. During the season, they competed in the League Cup and the FA Cup exiting at the quarter final and fourth rounds respectively. During their FA Cup campaign Norwich became the first top flight club to lose to a non-league club since 1989 when they lost 1–0 at home to Luton Town in the fourth round. Luton Town F
Luton () is a town and unitary authority with borough status, in Bedfordshire, England. At the 2011 census, the Luton built-up area subdivision had a population of 211,228 and its built-up area, including the adjacent towns of Dunstable and Houghton Regis, had a population of 258,018. It is the most populous town in the county, from the County Towns of Hertford, from Bedford and from London. The town is situated on the River Lea, about north-north-west of London. In many team sports which involve scoring goals, the goalkeeper (sometimes termed goaltender, netminder, GK, goalie or keeper) is a designated player charged with directly preventing the opposing team from scoring by blocking or intercepting opposing shots on goal. John Ruddy
John Thomas Gordon Ruddy (born 24 October 1986) is an English professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for club Birmingham City. Ruddy began his career at Cambridge United, before signing for Everton as a 19-year-old. He spent five years with Everton, but made just one appearance, while playing on loan at nine different clubs. Ruddy was signed by Paul Lambert to play for Norwich City in 2010 and, in his first season, was part of the team that finished second in the Championship, gaining promotion to the Premier League. The following year, Norwich finished twelfth in the Premier League, and Ruddy was selected by new England manager Roy Hodgson for the squad for Euro 2012. Stephen Fry
Stephen John Fry (born 24 August 1957) is an English actor, broadcaster, comedian, director and writer. Michael Wynn-Jones
Michael Wynn-Jones (born September 1941) is a Welsh writer, editor and publisher. He is the joint majority shareholder of Norwich City Football Club, with his wife, the former television cook Delia Smith. Early life Wynn-Jones studied at Lancing College and the University of Oxford, and is a writer, editor and publisher. His father was a Church of England vicar in Tivetshall and Redenhall with Harleston, and his mother was a teacher at Diss Grammar School. Wynn-Jones married Delia Smith in 1971 in Stowmarket, Suffolk. Wynn-Jones established New Crane Publishing, which produced some of Smith's books as well as the Sainsbury's magazine, which Wynn-Jones edited. Neil Adams (footballer)
Neil James Adams (born 23 November 1965) is an English former professional footballer and former manager of Norwich City. He played as a midfielder for Stoke City, Everton, Oldham Athletic and Norwich City. He is currently the Assistant Sporting Director for Norwich City, having previously held the role of Loans Manager since 2015. Adams began his career playing for his local club Stoke City, where he quickly earned a reputation of being a tricky and productive winger. This prompted Everton to pay a fee of £150,000 for his signature in June 1986. He was part of the Everton's Championship-winning squad in 1987, but injuries prevented him from reaching his potential at Goodison Park and after three years he moved on to Oldham Athletic. Jani Viander (born 18 August 1975) is a Finnish former football goalkeeper who currently works as the Lead Academy Goalkeeper Coach at Premier League side Brentford. In a long career as a player, Viander played professionally in Finland, Belgium, England, Denmark, Israel and Cyprus. He won 13 caps for Finland at international level. David Watson (footballer Born 1973)
David Neil Watson (born 10 November 1973) is an English football coach and former player, who played as a goalkeeper for Barnsley and the England under-21 team. After injury forced his early retirement from playing, he took up coaching, working as goalkeeping coach for several clubs as well as spending four years in the same role with the England team. In 2014, he joined Southampton, where he has been a first team assistant coach since 2019. Playing career Watson was born in Barnsley, West Riding of Yorkshire. Scott Marshall (footballer)
Scott Roderick Marshall (born 1 May 1973) is a Scottish football coach and former professional footballer, he is the assistant coach of Charlton Athletic. As a player, he was a defender who notably played in the Premier League for Arsenal and Southampton and in the Scottish Premiership for Celtic. He also played in the Football League for Rotherham United, Oxford United, Sheffield United, Brentford and Wycombe Wanderers. He was capped at Scotland U16, U18 and U21 level. Following retirement, he returned to Brentford as a youth team coach before running the Arsenal soccer school in Oman.
