2012–13 Iowa State Cyclones Men's Basketball Team
The 2012–13 Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball team represented Iowa State University during the 2012–13 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cyclones were coached by Fred Hoiberg, who was in his 3rd season. They played their home games at Hilton Coliseum in Ames, Iowa and competed in the Big 12 Conference. Previous season The Cyclones finished 23–11, and 12–6 in Big 12 play to finish 3rd in the regular season conference standings. They lost to Texas in the quarterfinals of the Big 12 tournament. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated UConn and lost to Kentucky. Fred Hoiberg
Fredrick Kristian Hoiberg (born October 15, 1972) is an American college basketball coach and former player. He has served as the men's head basketball coach at the University of Nebraska since 2019. Hoiberg grew up in Ames, Iowa, and played college basketball at Iowa State University in Ames where he earned the nickname "The Mayor". He was drafted into the National Basketball Association (NBA) where, over his ten year career, he played for the Indiana Pacers, Chicago Bulls, and Minnesota Timberwolves. After retiring as a player, he served as vice president for basketball operations for the Minnesota Timberwolves before beginning his coaching career at his alma mater, Iowa State University. He was there from 2010 to 2015 before going on to coach in the NBA for the Chicago Bulls from 2015 to 2018. Jordan Railey
Jordan Leon Railey (born April 1, 1992) is an American former professional basketball player. He played college basketball for Iowa State and Washington State. High school career Railey attended Beaverton High School where he averaged 13.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per game while leading the state of Oregon with 111 blocked shots as the team advanced to the second round of playoffs. Brewster Academy
Brewster Academy is a co-educational independent boarding school located on in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire, United States. It occupies of shoreline along Lake Winnipesaukee. Ames High School is the sole public high school in Ames, Iowa, United States. It is in the Ames Community School District. Academics This school is the only public high school in the city of Ames. In August 2019, Ames High School was named the top high school in Iowa by U.S. News & World Report. Georges Niang (born June 17, 1993), nicknamed "The Minivan", is a Senegalese-American professional basketball player for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA).
