The 2012 Major League Soccer season was the 100th season of FIFA-sanctioned soccer in the United States and Canada, the 34th with a national first-division league, and the 17th season of Major League Soccer. The regular season began on March 10, when the Vancouver Whitecaps FC defeated the expansion team Montreal Impact 2–0 at BC Place, and concluded with the host Los Angeles Galaxy defeating the Seattle Sounders FC 1–0 on October 28 at The Home Depot Center. Zachary Robert Loyd (born July 18, 1987) is an American former professional soccer player. He played for FC Dallas and Atlanta United in Major League Soccer and represented the USMNT. Loyd is currently the head coach for Lone Star Republic in the United Premier Soccer League. Career College and amateur Loyd is the one of four sons of Alan and Kathleen Loyd. Graham Jonathan Zusi (; born August 18, 1986) is an American professional soccer player who currently plays as a midfielder or defender for Major League Soccer club Sporting Kansas City.
