The 2012 Tour de San Luis was the 6th edition of the Tour de San Luis stage race. It was part of the 2011–12 UCI America Tour. Levi Leipheimer of won the race, mainly in the time-trial, which he won and where he made the difference with second placed Alberto Contador, who did win two mountain stages. With 2 stage wins for Francesco Chicchi and one for Tom Boonen, scored an impressive 4 wins out of 7. Italian Elia Viviani also managed to win one stage. Villa Mercedes is a city in the province of San Luis, Argentina. Jimmy Casper (born 28 May 1978 in Montdidier, Somme) is a French retired road bicycle racer, who competed as a professional between 1998 and 2012. He is best known for winning stage 1 of 2006 Tour de France. Career He has on two occasions finished in last place in the General classification of the Tour de France, thereby 'winning' the red lantern. Casper was suspended from his team, Agritubel because he tested positive for corticosteroid, an asthma drug that is banned unless the user has a medical exemption for its use, during the 2008 Tour de France by the Agence Française de Lutte contre le Dopage.
