Regar-TadAZ Tursunzoda (Tajiki: Регар-ТадАЗ Турсунзода клуби футболи), ( fa, باشگاه فوتبال ریگر-تداز تورسون‌زاده), is a Tajik professional football club based in Tursunzoda, that currently play in the top division. Regar-TadAZ have dominated football in Tajikistan since the turn of the 21st century. They won the 2005 edition of the AFC President's Cup, beating Dordoi-Dynamo Naryn of Kyrgyzstan 3–0. History Regar-TadAZ Tursunzoda was formed in 1975 as "Metallurg", and was made up of workers from the TALCO plant. In December 2013, Regar-TadAZ were on the brink of bankruptcy after their main sponsor, TALCO suffered financial problems. In August 2017, Makhmadjon Khabibulloev returned to the club as manager. Khurshed Makhmudov
Khurshed Mahmudov (born 8 August 1982) is a Tajikistani footballer who plays Tajik League side Regar-TadAZ Tursunzoda, and is a former member of the Tajikistan national football team. Career In February 2014, after 12 years with Regar-TadAZ Tursunzoda, Makhmudov signed for FC Istiklol. After two seasons, and 52 appearances for Istiklol, Makhmudov's contract wasn't renewed in January 2016 and he left Istiklol. In February 2017, Makhmudov switched to Futsal, joining DISI Invest. After six-months with DISI Invest, Makhmudov returned to football, signing with Regar-TadAZ Tursunzoda. Dushanbe ( tg, Душанбе, ; ; russian: Душанбе) is the capital and largest city of Tajikistan. , Dushanbe had a population of 863,400 and that population was largely Tajik. Dilshod Saidzhonovich Vasiyev (russian: Дилшод Саиджонович Васиев; born 12 February 1988 in Dushanbe, Soviet Union) is a Tajikistani football midfielder. Career Club During 2008, Vasiyev played for FC Mika in the Armenian Premier League, playing a total of 20 times, 19 in the league. Vasiyev scored FC Istiklol's first Tajik League goal on 4 April 2009. In September 2016, Vasiyev was ruled out for three-months with a torn Medial collateral ligament. Away Goals Rule
The away goals rule is a method of tiebreaker, tiebreaking in association football and other sports when teams play each other twice, once at each team's home ground. Under the away goals rule, if the total goals scored by each team are equal, the team that has scored more goals "Road (sports), away from home" wins. This is sometimes expressed by saying that away goals "count double" in the event of a tie, though in practice the team with more away goals is simply recorded as the victor, rather than having additional or 'double' goals added to their total. The away goals rule is most often invoked in two-legged tie, two-leg fixtures, where the initial result is determined by the aggregate score — i.e. the scores of both games are added together. FC Istaravshan ( fa, باشگاه فوتبال استروشن) is a Tajik professional football club based in Istaravshan, that competes in the Tajikistan Higher League. The club was folded in 2013, but has since reformed. History In 2004, under the name "Uroteppa", finishing as Runners-up to Aviator Bobojon Ghafurov in the Tajik Cup whilst also finishing 6th in the Tajik League. In 2012, the club's stadium underwent a $3 million renovation upgrading its capacity to 20,000 seats. The Istaravshan Sports Complex was officially re-opened on 27 October 2012 by Emomalii Rahmon, the President of Tajikistan.
