2012 Slovenian Supercup
The 2012 Slovenian Supercup was the eight edition of the Slovenian Supercup, an annual football match contested by the winners of the previous season's Slovenian PrvaLiga and Slovenian Cup competitions. The match was played on 8 July 2012, in Ljudski vrt stadium between 2011–12 Slovenian PrvaLiga runners-up Olimpija Ljubljana and 2011–12 Slovenian PrvaLiga winners Maribor, as Maribor won both the Slovenian Cup and the Slovenian PrvaLiga in the previous season. Slovenian Supercup
The Slovenian Supercup ( sl, Superpokal Slovenije) was a football match played between the Slovenian PrvaLiga champions and the Slovenian Cup winners. Prior 2007, the match was held only twice, in 1995 and 1996. The competition was resurrected in 2007 and was held annually for nine seasons, before it was abolished after the 2015 edition. Aris Zarifović
Aris Zarifović (born 2 June 1988) is a Slovenian footballer who plays as a centre-back for Thai League 1 club PT Prachuap. Club career Zarifović played for the youth teams of Slovenian club ND Gorica before starting his professional career in the 2007–08 season, in which he played three matches for Gorica's first team in the Slovenian PrvaLiga. During his five years at the club, he appeared in 85 games, scoring six goals in the process. In May 2012, he joined Olimpija Ljubljana, signing a four-year deal. In December 2015, his contract was extended until 2018, and in March 2018, it was extended again, this time until 2021. Nik Omladič (born 21 August 1989) is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for German club Hallescher FC. Club career Omladič started his career at his hometown club Šmartno ob Paki. As a youngster, he moved to nearby Rudar Velenje. He made his Rudar debut on 29 October 2006 in the 2. SNL tie with Dravinja. Omladič began to establish himself in the Rudar first team during the 2006–07 season, making 15 appearances and scoring one goal. Aleksander Šeliga (born 1 February 1980) is a former Slovenian footballer who played as a goalkeeper. Club career Early career Šeliga played most of his career for hometown club Celje in the Slovenian PrvaLiga. With this club, he also participated in the UEFA Cup. Andraž Šporar (born 27 February 1994) is a Slovenian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Super League Greece club Panathinaikos and the Slovenia national team. Boban Jović (born 25 June 1991) is a retired Slovenian footballer who played as a defender. Club career Jović started playing football at his local club Šampion, but moved to Aluminij in his teens. Even though he was playing in Slovenian second division, he was part of the under-19 national team, which qualified for the 2009 European Championship.
