In December 2015, his contract was extended until 2018, and in March 2018, it was extended again, this time until 2021. During his time at Olimpija, he played a total of 150 games across all competitions, scored eight goals, and won the PrvaLiga twice with the team. In January 2019, Zarifović signed a contract with

side Samut Prakan City. After the club was relegated at the end of the 2021–22 season, he left Samut Prakan and joined PT Prachuap on a one-year deal.
