2012 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship
The 2012 IIHF World Women's U18 Championship was the fifth IIHF World Women's U18 Championships and was hosted in Zlín and Přerov, Czech Republic. It began on December 31, 2011 with the gold medal game played on January 7, 2012. Canada won the title for the second time after defeating United States 3–0 in the final. Sweden captured the bronze medal with a 4–1 victory over Germany. With an attendance of 17,480, the tournament set a record for most-attended IIHF U18 World Women's Championship. A single-elimination, knockout, or sudden death tournament is a type of elimination tournament where the loser of each match-up is immediately eliminated from the tournament. Sidney Peters (Female Hockey Player)
Sidney John Peters (2 December 1885 – 9 January 1976) was a Liberal politician and solicitor in the United Kingdom. Education and family Peters was born in Cambridge. He was educated at Cambridge County High School and studied law at Cambridge University and Trinity College Dublin. In 1912 he married Essie Mills the daughter of a Cambridge Alderman. They had one son and one daughter. Linn Peterson
Linn Peterson (born 8 January 1994) is a Swedish ice hockey forward, currently playing in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with Luleå HF/MSSK. She represented in the women's ice hockey tournament at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Playing career Peterson joined Leksands IF Dam in the 2010–11 Riksserien season and remained with the team until 2015. She joined Brynäs IF Dam for the 2015–16 season before signing with Luleå HF/MSSK in the 2016–17 season. She has gone on to win three Swedish Championship titles with Luleå. Sabina Küller
Anna Sabina Lambertz Küller (born 22 September 1994) is a Swedish ice hockey player and member of the Swedish national ice hockey team, currently playing for AIK Hockey Dam in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL). She has played the entirety of her senior club career with AIK IF and has served as the team's captain since 2016. Playing career Küller began playing ice hockey at the age of 3 in Norrtälje, just outside of Stockholm. Linnea Johanna Hedin (born 24 January 1995) is a Swedish ice hockey player, playing in the Swedish Women's Hockey League (SDHL) with SDE Hockey. As a member of the Swedish national team, she participated in the IIHF Women's World Championship in 2012 and 2013. Denisa Křížová (born 3 November 1994) is a Czech ice hockey player for the Minnesota Whitecaps of the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF) and a member of the Czech Republic women's national ice hockey team. Ice hockey career Across four years of college ice hockey with the Northeastern Huskies women's ice hockey program, Křížová put up 169 points in 143 games, the sixth-highest scorer in the university's history.
