The 2012 European F3 Open Championship was the fourth European F3 Open Championship season. European F3 Open Championship
The Euroformula Open Championship (formerly the Spanish Formula Three Championship, European F3 Open Championship) is a junior formula racing series based in Spain. It was one of six national and international Formula Three championships in Europe and Scandinavia that together used to form an important part of the established "career ladder" below Formula One. The championship's first season was held in 2001. In 2006, it was branded as the Spanish F3 Championship by Toyota, in deference to its sole engine supplier. In 2020, the championship ceased to be a F3-championship and will share its specifications with Japan's Super Formula Lights based on the previous-generation Formula Three standards, primarily with a choice of engines. Circuit Ricardo Tormo
Circuit Ricardo Tormo, also known as ''Circuit de Valencia'' and officially named ''Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana Ricardo Tormo'', is a motorsport race track located in Cheste (Valencian Community, Spain) and built in 1999. The track is named after Spanish, two-time world champion Grand Prix motorcycle racer Ricardo Tormo (1952–1998), who died in 1998 of leukemia. It has a capacity of 165,000 and a main straight of . The track hosts the MotoGP Valencian Community Grand Prix. Also, the FIA GT Championship had a race there in 2000 and 2004, the World Touring Car Championship from 2005 to 2012, the European Le Mans Series in 2007, and the DTM from 2010 to 2012. 2012 International GT Open Season
The 2012 International GT Open season was the seventh season of the International GT Open, the grand tourer-style sports car racing founded in 2006 by the Spanish GT Sport Organización. It began on 28 April at Portimão and finished on 4 November, at Circuit de Catalunya after eight double-header meetings. The season was won by AF Corse drivers Gianmaria Bruni and Federico Leo, who raced on the Ferrari F458 GT Italia. They also won the Super GT standings. Michael Dalle Stelle and Daniel Zampieri, who raced behind the wheel of Kessel Racing's Ferrari F458 Italia GT3 won the GTS class. The Circuit Paul Ricard () is a French motorsport race track built in 1969 at Le Castellet, Var, near Marseille, with finance from pastis magnate Paul Ricard. Circuit De Nevers Magny-Cours
Circuit de Nevers Magny-Cours is a motor racing circuit located in central France, near the towns of Magny-Cours and Nevers, some from Paris and from Lyon. It staged the Formula One French Grand Prix from 1991 (succeeding Circuit Paul Ricard) to 2008, and the 24-hour Bol d'Or motorcycle endurance events from 2000 to 2014 (succeeded by Circuit Paul Ricard). Hungaroring
The Hungaroring is a motorsport racetrack in Mogyoród, Pest County, Hungary where the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix is held. In 1986, it became the location of the first Formula One Grand Prix behind the Iron Curtain. Bernie Ecclestone wanted a race in the USSR, but a Hungarian friend recommended Budapest. They wanted a street circuit similar to the Circuit de Monaco to be built in the Népliget – Budapest's largest park – but the government decided to build a new circuit just outside the city near a major highway. Construction works started on 1 October 1985. It was built in eight months, less time than any other Formula One circuit. The is a 150,000 person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. Circuito de Jerez – Ángel Nieto (formerly known as Circuit of Jerez and Circuito Permanente de Jerez), is a racing circuit located close to the city of Jerez de la Frontera, south of Seville and deep within the sherry-producing region in the south of Spain. Matteo Davenia
Matteo Davenia (born 7 January 1993 in Milan) is a racing driver from Italy. Career Karting Davenia began his motorsport career in karting back in 2003, finishing fourth in the Italian Junior Championship. He was also champion of the 2007 Italian Rotax 125 championship. Formula Three Davenia moved up to single-seaters in 2008, competing in the Italian Formula Three Championship finale at Vallelunga, driving for Europa Corse in the Trofeo Nazionale CSAI class. He finished 23rd overall in the championship, after finishing tenth and thirteenth in the two races. Kevin Giovesi (born 8 November 1993) is an Italian racing driver. He is the 2012 European F3 Open Copa Class champion. Career Karting Born in Rho, Giovesi began karting in 2005 and raced primarily in his native Italy for the majority of this part of career, working his way up from the junior ranks to progress through to the KF3 category by 2008.
