2011–12 Top 14 Season
The 2011–12 Top 14 competition was a French domestic rugby union club competition operated by the Ligue Nationale de Rugby (LNR). Home-and-away play began on August 26, 2011. Two new teams from the 2010–11 Rugby Pro D2 season were promoted to Top 14 this year, Lyon and Bordeaux Bègles in place of the two relegated teams, La Rochelle and Bourgoin. Toulouse claimed the Bouclier de Brennus as champions for the 19th time, defeating Toulon 18–12 in the final on June 9, 2012 at Stade de France in Saint-Denis. At the other end of the table, Brive and Lyon were relegated. Competition format Each club played every other club twice. Christophe Deylaud
Christophe Deylaud (born 2 October 1964 in Toulouse) is a French former rugby union footballer and a current coach. He played as a fly-half and as a centre. Deylaud first played at Portet-sur-Garonne, and from there moved to Blagnac SCR, where he stayed from 1985/86 to 1989/90. He played two seasons at RC Toulon, before joining Stade Toulousain. He went on to win four French Champion titles, for 1994, 1995, 1996 and 1997, and the Heineken Cup, in 1996. He also won twice the Challenge Yves-du-Manoir, in 1993 and 1995. Deylaud finished his career at SU Agen, and after retiring from playing went to become assistant coach for the same club. He is currently the head coach of Blagnac SCR. Deylaud was capped 16 times for France, from 1992 to 1995, which included a memorable series win in New Zealand against the All Blacks in 1994. Adri Badenhorst
Adriaan Johannes Badenhorst (born 18 July 1978) is a South African former rugby union player. Playing career Badenhorst matriculated in Prieska and in 1997 enrolled at Stellenbosch University. He played for the university's under 19 and under 20 teams and in 1997 was selected for the senior team. He was a member of the Western Province team that won the Currie Cup in 2000. Badenhorst played more than 50 matches for Western Province and the and in 2006 he signed for .
