2011–12 Serbian Cup
The 2011–12 Serbian Cup season was the sixth season of the Serbian national football tournament. The competition started on 31 August 2011 and concluded with the Final on May 16, 2012. The winner of the competition qualified for the second qualifying round of the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League. Preliminary round A preliminary round was held in order to reduce the number of teams competing in the next round to 32 and featured 14 teams from Serbian lower divisions. The matches were played on 31 August 2011. Note: Roman numerals in brackets denote the league tier the clubs participated in during the 2011–12 season. Round of 32 In this round, seven winners from the previous round were joined by all 16 teams from Serbian SuperLiga from 2010–11, as well as top 9 teams from Serbian First League from 2010–11. Serbian Cup
The Serbian Cup (Serbian: Куп Србије, Kup Srbije) is the national football cup of Serbia. The winner of the competition gets a spot in the UEFA Europa League qualifying round. From 2006 to 2010, the competition was known as the Lav Cup for sponsorship reasons. History Serbia's cup tournament is the legal successor to the Serbia and Montenegro Cup and in turn of the Yugoslav Cup. This cup tournament lasted for four seasons up until the dissolution of the state union of Serbia and Montenegro in 2006. The tournament was dominated by Serbian clubs with no Montenegrin sides reaching the final. Belgrade giants Red Star were easily the most successful club reaching the final all four years winning twice and losing in the final the other two seasons. Surprisingly, Red Star's cross-town rival Partizan did not appear in a single final. FK Srem
FK Srem () is a football club based in Sremska Mitrovica, Vojvodina, Serbia. They compete in the Sremska Mitrovica City League, the seventh tier of the national league system. History The club was founded as Građanski in 1919. They initially competed within the Belgrade Football Subassociation. After the reorganization of the Yugoslav football league system, the club joined the Novi Sad Football Subassociation. Following the conclusion of World War II, the club was restored and competed as Srem in the 1946 Serbian League North. They reached the reformed Yugoslav Second League in 1958. Serbian League West ( sr, Српска лига Запад, Srpska liga Zapad) is one of four sections of the Serbian League, the third national tier. The other three sections are Serbian League Belgrade, Serbian League East and Serbian League Vojvodina. It is also the highest regional league for the western part of Serbia. FK Mačva Šabac
Fudbalski klub Mačva Šabac () is a Serbian professional football club based in Šabac. One of the oldest football clubs in Serbia, their nickname is (). The nickname was used for the first time in 1927, when the Uruguay national football team were one of the best teams in the world, and due to local people and media comparing Mačva's style to that of the Uruguayan team, the main daily newspaper ''Politika'' consistently used the nickname . Bratislav Pejčić ( sr-cyrl, Братислав Пејчић, born 17 January 1983) is a Serbian former footballer. He played in a midfielder position. Career Early career He started his career in FK Budućnost Banatski Dvor, who are now known as FK Banat Zrenjanin, with whom he spent about three and a half seasons. Serbian League East ( Serbian: Српска лига Исток / Srpska liga Istok) is one of four sections of the Serbian League, the third national tier. The other three sections are Serbian League Belgrade, Serbian League Vojvodina and Serbian League West. It is also the highest regional league for the eastern part of Serbia. The league was founded in 2003 following a merger between the Serbian League Niš and the Serbian League Timok.
