2011–12 Motherwell F.C. Season
The 2011–12 season was Motherwell's thirteenth consecutive season in the Scottish Premier League, having competed in it since its inauguration in 1998–99. Motherwell finished 3rd in the league, qualifying for the UEFA Champions League, were knocked out of the Scottish Cup at the Quarter-Finals stage by Aberdeen, and knocked out at the 3rd Round stage by Hibernian in the League Cup. Motherwell F
Motherwell ( sco, Mitherwall, gd, Tobar na Màthar) is a town and former burgh in North Lanarkshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, south east of Glasgow. It has a population of around 32,120. Historically in the parish of Dalziel and part of Lanarkshire, Motherwell is the headquarters for North Lanarkshire Council. Geographically the River Clyde separates Motherwell from Hamilton to the west whereas the South Calder Water separates Motherwell from Carfin to the north-east and New Stevenston and Bellshill towards the north. Motherwell is also geographically attached to Wishaw and the two towns form a large urban area in North Lanarkshire, with both towns having similar populations and strong community ties. Adam Cummins (born 3 March 1993) is an English footballer who plays as a defender for club Stranraer. Cummins has previously played for Motherwell, Dundee, Ayr United, Queen's Park, Bangor City, Stranraer and Stirling Albion. Career Motherwell Born in Liverpool and growing up as a Liverpool fan, Cummins joined Motherwell in July 2011 from Everton, and was immediately drafted into the Motherwell under-19 squad. Rotherham () is a large minster and market town in South Yorkshire, England. The town takes its name from the River Rother which then merges with the River Don. Nicholas Alexander Law (born 29 March 1988) is an English professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Tampa Bay Rowdies in the USL Championship. He is the son of football manager and former player Nicky Law, Sr. Law began his career with Sheffield United, however he failed to make a significant breakthrough into the first team and had loan spells with Yeovil Town and twice at Bradford City. Dumbarton (; also sco, Dumbairton; ) is a town in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland, on the north bank of the River Clyde where the River Leven flows into the Clyde estuary. In 2006, it had an estimated population of 19,990. Dumbarton was the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Strathclyde, and later the county town of Dunbartonshire. Nicholas Devlin (born 17 October 1993) is a Scottish professional Association football, footballer who plays as a right-sided Defender (association football)#Full-back, full-back for Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen F.C., Aberdeen.
