	2011–12 Moldovan National Division The 2011–12 Moldovan National Division (Moldovan language, Moldovan: Divizia Națională) was the 21st season of top-tier Association football, football in Moldova. The competition began on 23 July 2011 and ended on 23 May 2012. The league was competed by 12 teams and won by FC Sheriff Tiraspol, Sheriff Tiraspol. FC Dacia Chișinău, Dacia Chișinău, FC Zimbru Chișinău, Zimbru Chișinău and, as winners of the 2011–12 Moldovan Cup, FC Milsami, Milsami Orhei gained places in the qualification rounds of 2012–13 UEFA Europa League. CSCA–Rapid Chișinău and FC Costuleni were originally relegated on competitive grounds, but were both spared later after FC Sfintul Gheorghe, Sfintul Gheorghe Suruceni did not obtain a National Division licence for 2012–13 and only one team could be promoted from the 2011–12 Moldovan "A" Division, 2011–12 A Division on the same grounds. picture info	Moldovan National Division The Moldovan Super Liga is an association football league that is currently the top division of Moldovan football league system. The competition was established in 1992, when the country became independent from the Soviet Union. It was formed in place of former Soviet republican competitions that existed since 1945. Before the Soviet occupation of Bessarabia and Northern Bukovina in 1940, clubs from modern Moldova competed in the Romanian football competitions, particularly Nistru Chișinău. There are currently eight teams in the competition. At the end of the season, the bottom club is relegated to the Moldovan Liga 1 and replaced by the lower league's champion. Sheriff Tiraspol—located in Transnistria—is the most successful league club with 20 titles, and is followed by Zimbru Chișinău with eight wins. 	CSCA–Rapid Chișinău FC Rapid Ghidighici was a Moldovan football club based in Ghidighici, Chişinău, Moldova. They played in the Divizia Naţională, the top division in Moldovan football. History During the 2006–07 season of the Divizia A, the club, then known as CSCA Chişinău, won promotion to the Divizia Naţională by coming in third. The newly promoted club then become known as CSCA-Steaua Chişinău. In the summer of 2008, the club merged with an club then known as FC Rapid Ghidighici to create CSCA–Rapid Chişinău. Before the 2011/12 season, they changed their name to FC Rapid Ghidighici. They played until the autumn pause of the 2013/14 season of the First division of Moldova . History During the 1999–2000 season, the club played as FC Nistru-Unisport Otaci due to Nistru being expelled in the summer of 1999. The club merged with Unisport Chişinău, which allowed Nistru to use Unisport's top flight position to play. However, this merger was canceled in 2000, sending Unisport back down to the Divizia A. They were founded in 2010 and played for a season in the 2010–11 Moldovan "A" Division, the second division in Moldovan football. History The aim for their first season was promotion to the Moldovan National Division, but they finished in second place in the 2010–11 Moldovan "A" Division, with champions being Locomotiv Bălţi, who did not apply for a National Division license.
