The DFB-Pokal 2011–12 was the 32nd season of the cup competition, Germany's second-most important title in women's football. Participating clubs The following teams were qualified for the DFB-Pokal: Results Round 1 The draw for the first round was held on 14 July 2011. The nine best clubs of the previous Bundesliga season, 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam, 1. FFC Frankfurt, FCR 2001 Duisburg, Hamburger SV, FC Bayern München, SC 07 Bad Neuenahr, VfL Wolfsburg, Bayer 04 Leverkusen and SG Essen-Schönebeck were awarded byes for the first round. FC Bayern Munich is a German women's football team based in Munich, Bavaria. It currently plays in the Frauen-Bundesliga, the top women's league in Germany. History Bayern's women's football team was officially founded in 1970 although women had been playing at the club since 1967. However, because the DFB had outlawed women's football from 1955 to 1970 Bayern could only officially register the team in 1970. They won their first national championship in 1976. In 1990 Bayern were founding members of the Frauen-Bundesliga, but they were relegated after next season. The club returned to the Bundesliga in 2000. Tennis Borussia Berlin is a German football club based in the locality of Westend in Berlin. History The team was founded in 1902 as ''Berliner Tennis- und Ping-Pong-Gesellschaft Borussia'' taking its name from its origins as a tennis and table tennis club. BV Cloppenburg is a German association football club located in Cloppenburg, Lower Saxony. History The club was founded after World War I in 1919 as the successor to SV Cloppenburg 1911. Through the 1950s they played in the Amateurliga Niedersachsen-West (II), and in the 1960s in the Verbandsliga Niedersachsen West (III), before falling out of sight in the early-1970s to become an obscure local side.
