2011–12 A.C. Milan Season
The 2011–12 season was Associazione Calcio Milan's 78th season in Serie A, and their 29th consecutive season in the top-flight of Italian football. Milan were the defending Serie A champions, and were aiming for a second straight title. Despite a slow start, they had been able to build up a four-point lead in the table over Juventus by March. In the last nine games of the season, however, Milan picked up only five wins, with two draws and two losses, allowing Juventus (who themselves recorded ten wins and one draw over their last eleven games) to regain the lead and win the title by four points. As the previous year's Serie A champions, Milan began their season contesting the Supercoppa Italiana against Coppa Italia holders Internazionale, winning the match 2–1. Leandro Damião da Silva dos Santos (; born 22 July 1989), known as Leandro Damião or simply Damião, is a Brazilian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Japanese club Kawasaki Frontale. Alberto Paloschi (; born 4 January 1990) is an Italian professional footballer who plays as a striker for club Siena. Club career Milan Paloschi won the National Under-17s Championship with Milan in the 2006–07 season. He scored 3 goals in a 4–0 win over Genoa in the final. The Audi Cup is a biennial two-day pre-season friendly football tournament that features four teams, hosted by the German club Bayern Munich, and is staged at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany. Milanello Sports Centre ('' it, Centro Sportivo Milanello''), commonly referred to as simply Milanello, is the training facility of Italian football club A.C. Milan. Built in 1963, the centre consists of , including a pinewood and a little lake. It is located between the towns of Carnago, Cassano Magnago and Cairate, in the province of Varese, about 40 km northwest of Milan.
