This article shows a summary of the 2011 football season in South Korea. National teams AFC Asian Cup After beating Iran in extra time of the quarter-final match, South Korea once again played extra time in the semi-finals against Japan. In this extra time, Hajime Hosogai who moved into the penalty area before Keisuke Honda kicked a penalty scored a controversial goal from the rebound. South Korea scored the equaliser after the misfortune, but lost on penalties. Doha

Qatar SC Stadium
The Suheim bin Hamad Stadium (), also known as Qatar SC Stadium, is a multi-purpose stadium in Doha, Qatar. It is currently used mostly for football matches and home of the football team Qatar Sports Club. History The stadium was opened 1985 and holds 13,000 people. Yoon Bit-garam
Yoon Bit-garam ( ko, 윤빛가람; or ; born 7 May 1990) is a South Korean professional association football player. Club career Yoon created the most chances among participants of the 2020 AFC Champions League, leading Ulsan Hyundai to the title. He was recognized for his performance, winning the Champions League MVP award. International career In the 2011 AFC Asian Cup, Yoon came on as a substitute against Iran in the quarter-final at the Qatar Sports Club Stadium. 2011 AFC Asian Cup Group C

Khalil Ibrahim Jalal Al Ghamdi ( ar, خليل إبراهيم جلال الغامدي; born 2 September 1970) is a Saudi Arabian football referee. He is known for being a referee at the 2007 AFC Asian Cup. He has been a FIFA international referee since 2003. Biography Outside of refereeing, he works as a teacher and lives in Riyadh. Ji Dong-won (, Hanja: 池東沅, or ; born 28 May 1991) is a South Korean professional footballer who plays as a winger for FC Seoul and the South Korea national team.
