Xavier Tondo
Xavier Tondo Volpini (5 November 1978 in Valls, Spain – 23 May 2011 in Monachil, Spain) was a Spanish professional road racing cyclist who specialized in mountain stages of bicycle races. Death Tondo was killed after being apparently trapped between his own garage door and car, and crushed by the door, while preparing his bicycle for a training ride. Teammate Beñat Intxausti was with him at the time of the accident. To commemorate Xavier Tondo the 100%Tondo sportive is held yearly, starting in Sant Joan les Fonts and finishing in Vallter 2000. Doping refusal In February 2011, it was reported that a pro cyclist had tipped off police about a doping ring. Tondo was later identified as that cyclist. According to the Spanish newspaper '' El País'', Tondo received an email in December 2010, which offered several doping products, including EPO, human growth hormone, Nandrolone, and Clenbuterol, all at low prices. Domenico Pozzovivo
Domenico Pozzovivo (born 30 November 1982) is an Italian professional road racing cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam . His very small stature confer him with the qualities of a pure climbing specialist. He is most known for a victory in stage 8 of the 2012 Giro d'Italia, an overall victory in the 2012 Giro del Trentino, and is notable for his educational attainments. Personal life Pozzovivo has a degree in economics and wrote a thesis entitled "Southern politics from the unity of Italy up to the present day". His educational attainments have earned him the nickname "Dr. Pozzovivo" in the peloton. Laurens ten Dam (born 13 November 1980) is a Dutch former road racing cyclist and current gravel racer. He competed professionally in road cycling between 2003 and 2019 for the , , , , and squads. Juan Manuel Gárate Cepa (born 24 April 1976 in Irun) is a Spanish professional road racing cyclist, who last rode for the team. Dario David Cioni (born 2 December 1974) is a retired English-born Italian professional road bicycle racer. Career Mountain bike career Cioni began his career as a professional mountain bike racer at the age of 19. He found success early with victory in the Italian Winter Championship and second place at both the Italian Cup and Italian Championships. Selected to represent Italy at the World Championships, Cioni finished tenth. Medina del Campo is a town and municipality of Spain located in the autonomous community of Castile and León. Part of the Province of Valladolid, it is the centre of a farming area. History Medina del Campo grew in importance thanks to its fairs held during the 15th and 16th centuries. Medina de Rioseco is a municipality located in the province of Valladolid, in the autonomous community of Castile and León and Spain.
