The Barnsley Metrodome (Metrodome Leisure Complex) is a sports and leisure facility that was opened in 1989 by Neil Kinnock. William James O'Connor (born 15 July 1986 in Limerick) is an Irish professional darts player who competes in events of the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC). Career O'Connor first came to prominence in the 2010 UK Open when he defeated Stuart Monaghan in the First Round by 6 legs to 0. He then defeated Mark Frost and Peter Wright to reach the fourth round, where he played world number 3 James Wade on the main board and lost 9 legs to 3. He qualified for the 2010 World Grand Prix, where he lost to Barrie Bates in the first round by 2 sets to 0. O'Connor along with Mick McGowan represented Ireland at the inaugural PDC World Cup of Darts in 2010. The pair defeated Slovakia in the first round 6 legs to 3. Terry Temple
Terence "Terry" Temple (born 16 August 1961 from Yorkshire) is an English professional darts player he currently playing in World Darts Federation (WDF) events. He has come through Qualifying School to earn a place on the PDC three times and is exempt to play events until the end of the 2017 season. Career Temple made his television debut at the 2012 UK Open at the Reebok Stadium in Bolton. He lost out 6–9 to Simon Whitlock in the last 64, earning himself £1,000 in the process. Temple's best result of 2012 came in the UK Open Qualifier 4 at the Barnsley Metrodome, defeating the likes of reigning world champion Adrian Lewis before losing 2–6 to Dean Winstanley in the quarter-finals. Darts career A left-hander, Tabern made his PDC World Championship debut in 2006 with a surprising win over Alex Roy. He was beaten in the second round by Mark Dudbridge. Wayne Jones (born 24 April 1965) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) tournaments. He uses the nickname The Wanderer for his matches. Stephen Brown (born 25 January 1981 in Bristol) is an English professional darts player who competes in the Professional Darts Corporation events. Career He has competed on the PDC Pro Tour since 2006, regularly reaching the last 64 of events. Brendan Gabriel Dolan (born 2 August 1973) is a Northern Irish professional darts player from County Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. Colin Osborne
Colin Osborne (born 19 June 1975) is an English professional darts player who plays in Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. In 2009, he won the Championship League and reached the final of the UK Open. Darts career Osborne has won two PDC Pro Tour events and he also managed to hit two perfect nine-dart finishes in 2005. The first one of these came in the Players Championship in the Isle of Wight and a second one followed at the non-televised qualifying rounds for the 2005 World Matchplay. Mark Stephenson
Mark Stephenson (born 29 September 1976 from Yarm) is a former English professional darts player who has played in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He was formerly an official, working as a marker. Career Stephenson fell one game short of qualifying for the 2007 PDC World Darts Championship, losing to Alan Tabern. He then fell two rounds short in qualifying for the 2008 PDC World Darts Championship, losing to Kirk Shepherd who eventually qualified and went on to reach the final. Stephenson finally qualified for the World Championship at the third time of asking, beating Jason Clark, Gary Welding and then Ray Farrell to earn one of the eight qualifying spots. Justin Pipe
Justin Pipe (born 9 November 1971) is an English former professional darts player who has played in the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) events. He was a former top 10 player. Playing career Pipe was a boxer in his youth, and, as a staunch anti-smoker, he refused to play darts in local pubs as the cigarette smoke would make his eyes water. In 2007, a smoking ban was introduced to England which enabled him to restart his darts career. He first emerged at the 2008 UK Open as a pub qualifier. He defeated Geoff Wylie and Lionel Sams before losing 9–3 to James Wade in the third round. Following this performance, he joined the PDC Pro Tour and reached the same stage of the UK Open a year later, this time losing 9–5 against Andy Jenkins. John MaGowan
Johnny "John" Magowan (born 10 June 1941 in Newtownards, County Down) is a Northern Irish former professional darts player who competed in the Professional Darts Corporation and British Darts Organisation events. BDO career MaGowan reached the final of the Isle of Man Open in 1994, losing to Mick Manning. In 1997, MaGowan reached the quarter finals of the Dutch Open and the WDF World Cup as well as the 1998 Norway Open. MaGowan's only major tournament in the BDO came in the 2001 World Masters, losing in the first round to John Walton.
