2011 PBA Governors Cup
The 2010-11 PBA season, 2011 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) PBA Governors' Cup, Governors' Cup, is the third and last conference of the 2010-11 PBA season. The tournament started on June 11 and ended on August 21. The Barako Bull Energy Boosters have extended their leave of absence and Smart Gilas declined to join the season ending conference. The tournament featured a handicapping system in which will be based on the results of the Philippine Cup and Commissioner's Cup (60% for the Philippine Cup and 40% for the Commissioner's Cup). The top four teams will be allowed with an import with a 6'2" height limit. The next four teams will be allowed with a 6'4" import and the last two teams will be allowed with a 6'6" import. PBA On Solar Sports
The PBA on Solar Sports (formerly known as PBA on C/S 9 and PBA on Solar TV) was branding used for presentation of Philippine Basketball Association basketball games produced by Solar Sports which began in the 2008-09 season. Solar Entertainment had acquired the rights to the PBA after a highly publicized bidding war with major broadcaster ABS-CBN, and aired games on several channels, including Basketball TV, the Radio Philippines Network (which Solar was operating), and later the ABS-CBN-owned Studio 23. PBA telecasts moved to AKTV after Solar's contract ended in 2011. History Bidding process The Associated Broadcasting Company (ABC) had broadcast PBA games since 2004 on its VHF Channel 5, succeeding the failed NBN and IBC consortium which left the league in debt. B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados
The Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, or simply known as the Magnolia Hotshots, are a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association. The team is owned by San Miguel Food and Beverage, Inc., a subsidiary of San Miguel Corporation (SMC). The team is one of three PBA ball clubs currently owned by the SMC group of companies, along with Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and the San Miguel Beermen. They have 14 PBA championships, tied with Barangay Ginebra and the Alaska Aces for the second-most championships overall, trailing only San Miguel Beermen by 14. The franchise plays under numerous brand names of the company but is best known by its original name, Purefoods. Donald Sloan (basketball)
Donald Wayne Sloan (born January 15, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the Adelaide 36ers of the Australian National Basketball League (NBL). He played college basketball for the Texas A&M Aggies. Sloan played parts of five seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Atlanta Hawks, New Orleans Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Indiana Pacers and Brooklyn Nets. He played in the NBA D-League and Chinese Basketball Association in between NBA stints. High school career Sloan attended Seagoville High School in the Dallas, Texas area. Over three seasons Sloan's team was 93–10 and Sloan led Seagoville to the regional championship game as a senior. Sloan received two-time all-state recognition. Curtis Stinson (born February 15, 1983) is an American professional basketball player. He played college basketball at Iowa State University. College career Stinson is a former Iowa State Cyclones men's basketball, Iowa State Cyclones college basketball player. Alpha Mohamed Bangura (born February 4, 1980) is a Libyan-Sierra Leonean former professional basketball player who competed as a member of the Libya national basketball team at the FIBA Africa Championship 2009. Tubod, Lanao Del Norte
Tubod, officially the Municipality of Tubod, ( ceb, Lungsod sa Tubod; Maranao: ''Inged a Tubod''; tl, Bayan ng Tubod), is a 2nd class municipality and capital of the province of Lanao del Norte, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 50,073 people.
