2011 Kerala Legislative Assembly Election
The thirteenth Kerala legislative assembly election was held on 13 April 2011 to elect members representing 140 constituencies in Kerala. Election results were released on 13 May 2011. The election, whose results were released on 13 May 2011, proved to be one of the closest ones in Kerala's history, with the United Democratic Front (UDF) beating the Left Democratic Front (LDF) by a margin of 4 seats. Oommen Chandy was sworn in as the Chief Minister for the second time on 18 May 2011. Parties and coalitions There are three major political coalitions in Kerala. The United Democratic Front (UDF) is the coalition of centrist and centre-left parties led by the Indian National Congress. Kerala Legislative Assembly
The Kerala Legislative Assembly, popularly known as the Kerala Niyamasabha, is the State Assembly of Kerala, one of the 28 states in India. The Assembly is formed by 140 elected representatives. Each elected member represents one of the 140 constituencies within the borders of Kerala and is referred to as Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA). Bharatiya Janata Party

Anoop Jacob
Anoop Jacob (born 16 December 1977) is an Indian politician and a Member of the Kerala Legislative Assembly and Legislative Party leader of the Kerala Congress (Jacob), a constituent of the UDF political alliance.http://kaumudiglobal.com/innerpage1.php?newsid=11955 He is the son of T. Kerala Congress (Jacob)
Kerala Congress (Jacob) is a regional political party in the Indian state of Kerala. It is a faction of Kerala Congress founded by the former minister the late T. M. Jacob who has held portfolios like Education, Irrigation, Culture and Civil Supplies in the Kerala Legislative Assembly. Formation The Kerala Congress (Jacob) faction was born in 1993 when T. M. Kerala Congress (M) is a state-level political party in the Indian state of Kerala, currently led by chairman Jose K. Mani. It was formed by K. M. Mani in 1979, after a split from the Kerala Congress. They are part of the Left Democratic Front since October 2020. Panakkad Sayed Hyderali Shihab Thangal (15 June 1947 – 6 March 2022) was a sayyid (thangal) community leader and religious scholar from Kerala, southern India who was the Kerala State President and Chairman, National Political Advisory Committee, Indian Union Muslim League from 2009 to 2022. He was also the Vice President of the Samastha Kerala Jam'iyyat al-'Ulama' (E. K. faction), the principal Sunni-Shafi'i scholarly body in Kerala. Ramesh Chennithala, , (born 25 May 1956), is an Indian politician, and a senior leader of the Indian National Congress. He was the Leader of the Opposition in the 14th Kerala Legislative Assembly. He also served as the state Home Minister in the Government of Kerala for two years. He holds the record of the youngest minister in Kerala at the age of 28.
