2011 Ginetta GT Supercup Season
The 2011 Michelin Ginetta GT Supercup season will be the inaugural Ginetta GT Supercup season, having rebranded from the Ginetta G50 Cup, which ran between 2008 and 2010. The season will begin at Brands Hatch on 4 April and will finish after 27 races over 10 rounds at Sliverstone on 16 October, supporting all rounds of the British Touring Car Championship. The season sees a new direction for the series with a move towards a GT style class structure with two cars eligible to race in the championship. The older Ginetta G50 is still eligible to race along with the introduction of the new Ginetta G55 with , 70 more than the G50. The winner of the G55 Championship will win a fully paid drive in a Next Generation Touring Car in the 2012 British Touring Car Championship. 2011 British Touring Car Championship Season
The 2011 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship was the 54th British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) season. Cars conforming to the Next Generation Touring Car (NGTC) specification were allowed to compete in the championship for the first time, in a phased transition from Super 2000 specification to the NGTC specification. The season was also the final time that cars built to the BTC Touring specification were allowed to compete, ending the specification's decade of competition in the BTCC. Team Dynamics' Matt Neal claimed his third BTCC title after finishing 8th in the final round of the season, two places ahead of teammate and rival Gordon Shedden, who was beaten to the title by eight points. Reigning Champion Jason Plato finished third after suffering a puncture in the first race of the final meeting at Silverstone. Tim Harvey
Tim Harvey (born 20 November 1961) is a British racing driver, best known for being the 1992 British Touring Car Champion, and the 2008 and 2010 Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain champion. A household name in the 1990s, Harvey won sixteen races in the British Touring Car Championship between 1987 and 1995, and competed in the series until 2002. He was also the winner of the invitational Guia Race of Macau touring car event, in 1989. After leaving touring car racing, Harvey moved into the one-make Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain series; after two guest drives in 2003, including one victory, Harvey competed full-time from the 2004 season onwards. Aaron Williamson
Aaron Williamson (born 4 June 1992) is a British racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship in 2012. He later returned to the Renault Clio Cup United Kingdom in 2013. Racing career Williamson began his career in the SAXMAX Saloon Car Championship in 2006. He switched to the Ginetta Junior Championship for 2008, taking several top 10 finishes on his way to finishing thirteenth overall, with 189 points,. He joined Muzz Racing for the 2009 Ginetta Junior Championship season, ending the season third in the standings with three victories. Williamson went on to race for Century Motorsport in the 2010 Ginetta G50 Cup season, after the first three rounds, he switched to FML from round six onwards. Jody Fannin
Jody Fannin (born 4 September 1993) is a British auto racing driver. He competed in the European Le Mans Series in 2017, winning the GTE Championship with Rob Smith driving for JMW Motorsport in a Ferrari 488 GTE. He was the 2012 British GT GT4-class champion, along with Warren Hughes, driving for Team WFR in a Ginetta G50. Michael Doyle (racing Driver)
Michael Doyle (born 18 June 1987 in Glasgow) is a British racing driver who competed in the British Touring Car Championship in 2008. Doyle's team was family-owned, and part of a garage services business which he worked for during the week. He was not among the front-runners in his aged Honda Civic, and was not among the top 10 non-works drivers to finish until race 7 at Donington Park. He ran 10th for part of race 6 at Rockingham, before spinning out. His first points came in race 13 at Croft, which was stopped early due to rain. His best result came at Silverstone during a wet race 3, in conditions that he thrives in. Adam William Morgan (born 28 October 1988) is a British auto racing driver. He currently drives in the British Touring Car Championship. Career Early years Born in Blackburn, Morgan began his career in Cadet Karts from age 8–11 (1996–99), then moved on to higher classes such as Junior TKM and Junior Max. He remained in Karts until 2004. In 2006, Morgan competed in the National Historic Rally Championship in a Ford Escort Mk1 Mexico. Stefan Hodgetts (born 17 June 1982 in Bromsgrove) is a British auto racing driver, best known for driving a part season in the British Touring Car Championship. His father Chris was twice champion of the BTCC. Racing career After starting in karting, he switched to single-seater racing in 1998, in Formula 600. Nathan Freke (born 8 September 1983) is a racing driver. He was the 2006 British Formula Ford Champion. Freke has held four British Kart Racing Championship Titles and in 2005 became the only driver ever to win an FIA/CIK Superkart Race in a Division 2 Kart against Division 1 Karts, (50% power differential).
